Deciding whether to change your name after getting married is a deeply personal one, and Taylor Swift has hinted about what the might do.
The pop icon is arguably one of the most famous people on the world, and has built her entire legacy and career under the Taylor Swift name, so fans have been wondering if they will see a change after she says "I do.".
She is due to marry Travis Kelce this week in a highly-anticipated event, following their engagement in August 2025 which broke the internet.
It's a possibility they could hyphenate their names, the same way Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham and Beyonce and Shawn Carter-Knowles.did, or they might keep their own individual surnames or opt for something completely new together.

Fans have been trawling through Swift's lyrics for signs about what she might opt for after tying the knot, as she has played her cards close to her chest so far.

The closest anyone has found lyrically comes from the 2022 song 'Midnight Rain' which features the lines "He wanted a bride / I was making my own name", which some are interpreting as her keeping the Swift name.
Kelce also raised suspicions last year when he liked an Instagram post by Bussin' with the Boys, where the hosts insisted Taylor 'is way more globally famous than Travis Kelce – if anything, Travis would have to change his'.
Given he is a sporting superstar in his own right, with thousands of fans wanting a jersey with 'Kelce' on the back, it seems unlikely he would also switch his name, at least professionally.
However, a source has told the Daily Mail that 'traditional' Swift will change her name privately.
They told the publication: "Professionally, she'll always be Taylor Swift. The name has become one of the biggest brands in entertainment, and there's really no reason to change that."

"Personally, it's a different story," they continued, "Taylor is very traditional, and when it comes to marriage, she'd love to take Travis' last name."
"In her personal life, the idea of being Taylor Kelce is something she genuinely looks forward to," they added.
It's also something she's thought about for if they have children together, the source continued: "She sees it as a meaningful step, especially knowing it would also be the family name their future children would share.
"Both she and Travis think there's something incredibly special and beautiful about sharing the same last name, even if the world will always know her professionally as Taylor Swift."
A second source agreed: "She will take his last name when they wed, but for work she will still go by Taylor Swift. Jennifer Aniston did this when she married Brad Pitt."
Tyla has contacted representatives of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for comment.
According to Page Six, a whole load of food and ingredients were spotted being delivered to Madison Square Garden ahead of the couple’s big day, giving fans an insight into what guests might be chowing down on.
It seems that attendees are in for some fine dining as boxes containing lobster meat were seen being transported into the venue.
Swift and Kelce also appear to be big fans of chicken, with several variations of the meat - including breasts, legs, boneless and blackened - reportedly labelled on the boxes that were delivered.
Packages of French fries and thick-cut onion rings were also seen, as well as fresh produce such as red and orange peppers and romaine lettuce, along with eggs, whole milk and heavy whipping cream.
A Krispy Kreme van also reportedly pulled up to MSG, though it’s unclear whether wedding guests are being treated to an Original Glazed Dozen, as there is a doughnut store located nearby.
A source claiming to have ‘direct knowledge’ told TMZ that Swift ‘personally curated food stations’ for her nuptials, reportedly featuring ‘speciality bites’ from a number of her ‘go-to spots’.
