Taylor Swift fans have savage Donald Trump theory after spotting detail on new album

The 35-year-old 'Cruel Summer' singer just revealed the title of her upcoming album

Taylor Swift fans have just shared a hilariously savage Donald Trump theory after spotting one specific detail regarding her new album announcement.

Now, on the off-chance you're not in the loop, the 35-year-old 'Cruel Summer' singer has just this week shared the name of her 12th studio album, revealing its title to be The Life of a Showgirl on a teaser clip for tomorrow's (13 August) New Heights podcast episode alongside her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

On Taylor's official website, fans are brought to a site which allows them to pre-order the album on vinyl, cassette and CD along with a poster.

Swifties were quick to clock the colour scheme of the merch, which is a teal and glittery orange - the latter shade of which people couldn't help but compare to the 79-year-old Republican.

As we know, Trump's orange tan, as compared to his natural far paler complexion, has been a talking point for years now and the discourse has heated up once again following Taylor's most recent music announcement.

One social media user declared: "Taylor Swift reclaiming the colour orange from our flop president."

"The concept of Taylor reclaiming the colour orange from the president," a second chimed in, while a third theorised: "Taylor be like 'Orange is so wasted on Trump, lemme change that real quick'."

A fourth quipped: "Orange Taylor Swift album, I just know Trump is mad she took his colour."

"It’s nice to see Taylor Swift reclaiming the colour orange in the second Trump era," praised a fifth.

Another wondered: "With all the orange-themed clues & hints for this new album cycle from Taylor Swift today, surely it's a diss album on that orange f**khead Donald Trump."

And a final X user echoed: "Will the colour of #Taylor's new album be orange because it's going to be an album to ruin Trump's reputation? I mean, he's orange, right?"

Obviously, this is all fan speculation but it is true that Trump and Taylor have had quite the back-and-forth in recent times.

In September 2024, Swift shared on Instagram that she intended to vote for Kamala Harris for US president in the upcoming election at the time.

The public endorsement of Harris by Taylor led to an angry response from Trump just days later, when he posted on his Truth Social platform, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" with no further context or elaboration.

He later claimed in an interview on Fox News that her 'was not a Taylor Swift fan' and said: "She'll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace."

And it appeared as if Trump just couldn't let it go as he once again took to Truth Social to make a dig at the star.

In May, he wrote: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she’s no longer 'HOT?'" once again failing to elaborate.

Now, we're not too sure what the president's idea of 'hot' is but we think the global superstar, whose record-breaking Eras Tour made her the wealthiest female musician in the world, is doing just fine.
