It's safe to say that Taylor Swift has one of the most dedicated fan bases of all time.

Whether it's updates on her music career, her relationship with Travis Kelce or just about anything else to do with the 35-year-old 'Cruel Summer' hit-maker, Swifties never fail to show up in their masses to throw their support behind her.

And the latest update regarding Taylor has just managed to 'break the internet' after she made a shock announcement in a 13-second video alongside her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend.

It comes after Travis and his brother Jason teased a special guest on their New Heights podcast, with many convinced the appearance was going to make history.

And it seems fans were pretty accurate with their predictions...

Yep, the time has finally come as the Grammy award-winning artist has just announced her 12th studio album during an appearance on the podcast, revealing its title to be The Life of a Showgirl.

Earlier this week on Monday (11 August), Taylor posted a countdown on her website, leading to a frenzy of fan speculation that a new album could be on its way.

And it didn't take long for the fan theories to be confirmed when Travis announced that she would be featuring as a surprise guest on the podcast.

The first teaser clip, which currently has 1.3 million likes, was uploaded to the official New Heights podcast Instagram account earlier this morning (12 August) along with the caption: "Taylor’s about to do a f*cking podcast!"

The 13-second episode clip shows Taylor complimenting Travis' blue sweater.

"It’s the colour of your eyes, sweetie," he tells her. "That’s why we match so well."

To that, Taylor responds with enthusiasm: "We’re about to do a f*cking podcast!"

According to verified X account, Taylor Swift Charts+, the 13-second preview has 'garnered over 10 million views on social media in 30 minutes'.

The second podcast teaser clip, posted just a few hours after the first, has already racked up 2.9 million likes.

"So I wanted to show you something," Taylor could be seen saying in the clip before lifting up a blurred-out album cover. "This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl."

The full album cover and artwork are expected to be revealed at long last when the full podcast episode drops on Wednesday (13 August).

Upon catching light of the new album dropping and the couple's upcoming joint podcast appearance, it's clear that fans were totally beside themselves with thousands rushing to social media to share their excitement.

One Instagram user beamed: "My brain cannot process this information."

"This will easily get 500 million views," declared a second, while a third chimed in: "And I don’t know how it gets better than this!"

Someone else penned: "I just had to remind myself to breathe."

While a fifth admitted: "I cancelled my plans in case this happened."

"I have never been more excited for anything and I am married with two children," someone else joked.

And a final Instagram user stated: "This is more than just an album drop - it’s a cultural event.

"The fact that Taylor is sharing her new music in Travis’s podcast is iconic on so many levels. Two worlds colliding in the best way possible: football meets lyrical genius. Can’t wait to soak in every word, every melody, and replay it until I know every line by heart.

"This is what we call a power couple move."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
