Pamela Anderson recently made headlines after ditching her signature makeup during Paris Fashion Week last week (28 September).

The Baywatch star, who has become synonymous with her thin brows, smokey eyeshadow and her famous 'Pammy updo', seemingly ditched the glitzy glam look and opted for a more natural, fresh-faced visage instead.

Since then, the 56-year-old has taken to social media to provide a little more context behind her decision.

It most definitely should not be a big deal at all as to whether women wear makeup or not during public events - or any other time for that matter - but, as we all know, it's very much still not the norm.

However, that doesn't mean she hasn't been inundated with praise from women all over including Halloween's Jamie Lee Curtis who said she was 'so impressed' by the decision.

Posting a picture of the actor on her Instagram, Curtis, 64, wrote: "THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!

"@pamelaanderson in the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures."

Continuing to celebrate Anderson's bold move, the Freaky Friday legend told her six million followers: "This woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face.

"I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion."

Hopefully, one day, we'll moved past this point in society where a woman choosing to be sans makeup is heralded as 'an act of courage' and something rebellious but, for the meantime, it's good to see Anderson love the skin she's in.

Anderson took to X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday (1 October) to open up about her decision to go makeup-free for the prestigious fashion event.

In a short but sweet tweet, she penned: "I'm in the phase of 'accept me as I am'."

"The world feels new once again," she added coupled with a white heart emoji.

The Knives Out star previously opened up about the reason as to why she's scaled back her typical bombshell makeup look, telling Elle Magazine back in August that it came shortly after a huge personal loss.

After losing her close friend and makeup artist Alexis Vogel to breast cancer in 2019, Anderson made the decision to leave her iconic look behind.

"She was the best," the mum-of-two shared. "And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup."

Anderson also revealed that ditching the makeup look that helped skyrocket her to fame was actually a welcome change, telling the outlet the novel experience was 'freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious, too'.

"I did notice that there were all these people doing big makeup looks, and it’s just like me to go against the grain and do the opposite of what everyone’s doing," she explained.

During that same interview, the actor also delved into what it was like getting 'older'.

She said: "I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older.

"And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look at the mirror. I go, 'Wow, this is really...what’s happening to me?' It’s a journey."
