Ozempic has become one of the most talked-about ways to lose weight in recent times, which has undoubtedly been spurred along by the many famous faces who've admitted to using the drug to shed the pounds.
Here are all the celebs who've admitted to using the medication to lose weight... but firstly, let's get into what exactly Ozempic is all about.
Ozempic contains a medication called semaglutide, which an active ingredient that suppresses appetite. But what many may not realise is that the drug actually isn't approved for weight loss in both the UK and US, with it being intended as a treatment for people with Type-2 diabetes.

While obesity drugs Mounjaro and Wegovy are approved for weight loss, this hasn't stopped the masses from getting their hands on the Type-2 diabetes drug to see the numbers quickly go down on the scales... and that includes a number of celebrities.
Ozempic is highly effective when it comes to losing weight, but it can also come with a number of nasty side effects that many users have been candid about - including Sharon Osbourne, who's been very transparent about her recent weight loss journey.

Sharon Osbourne's Ozempic experience
The former X Factor judge has lost a significant amount of weight as a result of using the popular medication - which she began using back in 2022 - with the 72-year-old admitting she's lost 42 pounds.

Osbourne is no longer using Ozempic after the weight loss made her feel 'happier and healthier than ever', but she previously admitted that the side effects she experienced weren't a walk in the park.
During a discussion on The Talk in June of last year, Osbourne said of the side effects: "I was very sick for a couple of months. The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous.
"Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset."
And more recently, the TV personality told the Daily Mail that since coming off Ozempic, she's struggling to put any weight back on.

"I tried Ozempic," he shared on the SiriusXM show. "And it won't be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn't really work."
He went on: "I tried it for a bit and then what I realised was I was like, 'Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry'.
"All it does is make you feel not hungry. But I am very rarely eating (just because I'm hungry)."
While did admitted that the drug was successful in assisting him on his weight loss journey, it failed to address the emotional and mental reasons for his harmful relationship with food, claiming he has an 'addictive personality'.

Rebel Wilson used Ozempic as a 'maintenance'
Australian comedian Rebel Wilson has been candid regarding her weight loss in the last few years, and admitted to using Ozempic as 'maintenance' following her shedding the pounds through other means.
Previously telling The Times all about her weight loss journey, Wilson explained that it 'felt so good' after naturally losing weight that she 'kept going' - leading to her trying out Ozempic.
"Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good," she added.

Amy Schumer's reasoning to ditch Ozempic
American actress and comedian Amy Schumer has been incredibly candid about her experiences with Ozempic, including the reason why she decided to stop using it.
Speaking on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen last year, she explained how after trying it, she became 'too sick' to play with her son, Gene.
"I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son,” Schumer said. "I was so skinny and he’s throwing a ball at me and [I couldn’t]."
While she admitted she felt 'immediately invested' in the drug before trying it out, she later realised it simply wasn’t a 'livable' option for her.

Kathy Bates says Ozempic 'helped her lose the last 15 pounds'
Misery star Kathy Bates revealed that she managed to lose 100 pounds due to lifestyle changes, as well as the help of Ozempic.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the actress said: "There’s been a lot of talk that I just was able to do this because of Ozempic. But I have to impress upon people out there that this was hard work for me, especially during the pandemic. It’s very hard to say you’ve had enough."
And during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show last year, Bates added: "I’ve recently gone on Ozempic and everybody said, 'Oh, she did it with Ozempic' but that’s not true.
"I started doing that about a year ago for my diabetes and that’s helped me lose the last 15 pounds or so."

Chelsea Handler on 'not realising' she was on Ozempic
Comedian Chelsea Handler claimed she'd been inadvertently taking the drug for some time and said she had no idea she was prescribed Ozempic until she began enduring some of its side effects.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast last year, Handler claimed: "My anti-aging doctor just hands it out to anybody. I didn't even know I was on it.
"She said, 'If you ever want to drop five lbs., this is good'."
After experiencing crippling nausea, Handler and her friend soon realised she was injecting herself with Ozempic, with her saying jokingly: "I'm an irresponsible drug user, but I'm not gonna take a diabetic drug.
"I tried it, and I'm not gonna do that. That's not for me. That's not right for me."
