The 2024 Olympics - and all the chaos, score change sagas and penis bulge controversies - has now at long last come to an end.

People across the globe tuned in yesterday (11 August) to see the closing ceremony performance, which featured a whole bunch of A-listers including the likes of; Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish and Tom Cruise - who, after jumping from the Stade de France roof, had to dodge a kiss from a fan. Yikes.

However, fans were left pretty disappointed over one detail concerning the performance and have since rushed to social media to share their outrage.

Bringing the festivities to a close, the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their 2002 smash-hit 'Can’t Stop' followed by Billie singing her latest 'Birds of a Feather', all before Snoop and Dre rounded things off.

Now, as we know, this year's Olympics took place in Paris - yet these performances took place nowhere near.

In fact, the pre-recorded segment wasn't even filmed in Europe, but instead shot in Los Angeles - the destination of the next Olympic Games - meaning those in the stadium didn't get the full live experience.

And this clearly didn't go down well with viewers - especially fans of the 'Bad Guy' singer.

One X user lamented: "I can’t believe a crowd of actors got to hear Billie Eilish sing Birds of a Feather this good f*ck LA, f*ck the olympics, f*ck all y'all."

As a second hit out: "The way they went on like Billie Eilish was closing the Olympics and she’s just singing birds of a feather on a bit of decking in LA."

"I expected her to be in Paris," quipped a third, while a fourth penned: "Nah I’m sorry but you’d be livid if you’d got a ticket to the closing ceremony in Paris only to sit through the boring stuff waiting for Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg… only for all of them to actually be in LA instead."

A fifth wondered: ""So...is there LA section just being shown on screens in Paris?"

"Kinda sucks that they couldn't have these people performing in Paris so it's all together," sympathised another. "Imagine being all excited in the stadium and having to watch on the screens. #ClosingCeremony."

And a final X user echoed: "Would be a bit disappointing to be in the Paris stadium and then to have the USA handover so far consist of a pre-recorded Tom Cruise video package and now the live performances of Red Hot Chilli peppers & Billie Eilish on the stadium screens #ClosingCeremony."
