Off Campus star Mika Abdalla has been fiercely defended after a seriously shocking podcast clip with her ex-fiancé Jake Short resurfaced after their split.
Abdalla, who plays fan-favourite Allie Hayes in the hit Amazon Prime series, got engaged to Shorts actor Jake Short last year.
However, the pair have since called off their engagement, her rep confirmed.
“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life," Abdalla’s rep told Us Weekly, "it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together."

The statement continued: "They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect."
Neither Short nor Abdalla has addressed their split publicly.
Following news of their split, Off Campus fans started revisiting an old podcast clip that has since attracted renewed scrutiny on social media.
The clip in question is from a 2024 episode of The Sit and Chat podcast, hosted by Short and fellow Disney Channel star Bradley Steven Perry.
The episode, titled Couples Therapy, sees Perry ask Short how he would describe his fiancée at the time, Abdalla.
"I have two words," he replied while smiling. "I’d be like, 'Some b*tch'."

Short's off-handed remarks clearly shocked Perry and his now-wife, Natasha Bure Perry, with the former responding: "Oh my god."
"So, she’s the best person [Perry] knows, the best person he’s ever met, and I’m some b*tch?" Abdalla asked Short, who tried to move past the moment before 'dapping' her up.
After catching light of the clip, many fans pointed out issues with Short's 'negging' behaviour.

One Reddit user penned: "You see how the other two just froze? That was disrespect if I've ever seen it. What a hard watch, no wonder they broke up..."
"The 'joke' just kept going. Why did he act like he actually hates her? Wtf," slammed a second as a third urged: "Stop negging ur significant other!!"
A fourth hit out: "Like WTF, I don’t even know who these people are, but did he just call his then fiancée ‘some b*tch’ in public???? Oh, hell naw!!!!!!!! Hell to the naw naw naw!!!"

"Women, it really is okay to just be alone," offered a fifth as a sixth lamented: "Hard watch in general, very hard watch for us girls who have been with a loser like that. I felt my skin crawl in a way it hasn’t in years."
Another lamented: "Watching Off Campus kind of bummed me out for that reason. It has 'written by a woman' all over it. It's sad to me that so many women's ultimately smutty fantasies include a guy who is gentle, trustworthy, kind and not pushy. Yet in real life, guys are like 'some b*tch' lol."

And a final Redditor echoed: "She deserves so much more than that!"
