Golden Globes viewers 'figure out' what Nicole Kidman said to Jodie Foster during 'intense conversation'

Footage captured Jodie Foster and Nicole Kidman having an 'intense' conversation at the Golden Globe Awards, as one person believes they 'figured' it out.

In previous years, the annual Golden Globes have been known for Ricky Gervais' brutal opening monologues, and other explosive celeb moments.

But this year, things were slightly more tame, and viewers could really pay attention to the small details.

Fans got to see a glimpse of Hollywood's most loved-up A-listers at the event - namely Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were in town to celebrate the awards, after Wicked swooped the cinematic and box office achievement prize.

Acting legend Jodie Foster won her fifth Golden Globe award at the event and was captured having a seemingly intense conversation afterwards with Nicole Kidman.

The two could be seen up close and personal, as Foster held the shoulders of Kidman while chatting.

But one fan thinks they figured out exactly what was being said.

They believe that the two were discussing what happened while Foster was accepting her award.

The 62-year-old picked up Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role as police chief Liz Danvers in True Detective: Night Country.

But as she was accepting her award, fellow nominee Sofía Vergara, 52, who portrayed the 'Cocaine Godmother' in the series Griselda, heckled the Hollywood icon as she got up onstage.

She could be heard shouting, 'Oh no, give me one'.

To which Foster replied, laughing 'I know, I know'.

The fan speculated: "So incredibly kind of Nicole Kidman. It seems as though she's telling Jodie she really deserved the award she received and that she's sorry Sofia Vergara was so rude during her speech."

But Foster actually went on to acknowledge Vergara in her speech, despite yelling at her earlier.

The actress said: "The greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you, Sofia."

She went on to thank her family for their support, adding: "Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who is starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy, such joy that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work.

"So, my boys, I love you, and this of course is for you, and the love of my life, Alex. Thank you forever."

Foster sported a black gown to the annual event, with sparkling silver detail around the sleeves and the collar.
