Netflix’s One Day actor Leo Woodall ‘hard launches’ new romance leaving fans disappointed

Netflix’s One Day actor Leo Woodall ‘hard launches’ new romance leaving fans disappointed

Speculation's been brewing for a while...

One Day star Leo Woodall may be riding high off the success of his latest Netflix hit, but it seems there’s something else he might be happy about... after his new relationship got its ‘hard launch’ on Instagram yesterday.

Woodall, 27, has been well and truly thrust into the limelight after starring in this year's hottest romantic drama, based on David Nicholls’ book of the same name, which was also turned into a 2011 film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.

He and Ambika Mod play friends Dexter and Emma, two friends who meet after graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 1988 – reuniting each year as they navigate through joy and heartbreak.

But Woodall’s on-screen romance isn’t the only relationship that’s now hitting headlines, with fans sent into a frenzy after an adorable Instagram post.

Before his time in One Day, the actor rose to fame in the most recent season of The White Lotus, set in Sicily, playing mysterious Essex boy Jack.

Among the cast was The Bold Type star Meghann Fahy, who portrayed stay-at-home mum Daphne – a woman who turned out to be smarter than she seemed.

Yesterday, Fahy posted a photo of her and Woodall from hugging as they walked along, posting a happy emoji, pizza emoji and a blue love heart.

While we couldn’t see their faces, she tagged Woodall in the cute pic, while he commented in a reply: “Who is he?!”

Many people were delighted by the ‘hard launch’ - although some were admittedly gutted to see Woodall off the market.

One joked: “She saw us thirsting after him and had to set the record straight.”

Another said: “All the One Day fans that never stood a chance completely gutted anyway.”

A third wrote: “The hard launch of dreams.”

A fourth added: “I feel like I’ve lost Emma all over again.”

Mind you, this isn’t the first time the pair had left breadcrumbs about their relationship online.

Just six weeks ago, Woodall posted a video montage from New Year’s Eve, writing: “Ended 2023 with my favourite people.”

And who featured in the video, but Fahy, who wrote below the post: “Best best best.”

In September, he also posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos from The White Lotus, with the caption ‘That’s amore’ - which could have been a nod to the show’s Italian setting, but also seemed to feature Fahy quite prominently.

As far back as July, Woodall also shared a snap of him rowing a boat in a London park, with Fahy tagged in the image.

YOU GUYS!!!
