Millie Bobby Brown praised for ‘powerful’ new name following 2024 marriage to Jake Bongiovi

Fans of Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown have been sharing their love for her 'powerful' new name.

She shot to fame as a child when she starred as Eleven in the 1980s-themed show and married Jon Bon Jovi's son Jake in 2024.

The 20-year-old actor got hitched to 22-year-old Jake in a private ceremony and revealed they would have a 'bigger affair' at a later date.

Some critics had questioned marrying at such a young age, but Millie hit back, telling Glamour: "It’s not because I can’t do it in 10 years; of course I can do it in 10 years. But why, when I know that it’s going to work now?"

She added: "I know that Jake and I will be okay.

"When I met Jake, I just felt I could be loud. He embraced that and encouraged that. And I fell in love with myself while being with him."

Fans have been loving the reveal of her 'powerful' new name, as like many of us she shared a sweet post reflecting on 2024.

She captioned the round-up video: "The year of Mrs Bongiovi," confirming that she has taken Jake's surname.

It featured a highlights reel of her year, with the couple singing and dancing, releasing birds from a boat, and Millie messing around with a giant cake smashing it into her own face.

The video also featured unseen footage from their wedding, with the happy couple holding hands under a white flower arch.

Millie soundtracked the cute video to ABBA's 'Happy New Year' track, with a white heart emoji.

Earlier in the year she shared some behind-the-scenes snaps from the set of Stranger Things, with the fifth series being released later this year.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed one sticker was shared, showing her name as 'Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi'.

One person wrote: "Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi sounds so powerful."

Another joked: "Bobby brown bongiovi is the new tongue twister."

Meanwhile, the union came as news to some fans, with one excitedly writing: "OMG……!!!!!! Are you serious…..!!!! CONGRATULATIONS…..!!!! Tell your father in law that I love the guy….!!!!"

Someone else added: "Our Mrs. Millie Bobby Brown Bongiovi! proud of you!!"

Millie shared adorable photos, referring to her 'forever wedding date' and calling her new husband her 'forever prince'.

Jake's dad, rockstar legend Jon Bon Jovi, previously opened up about the pair's big day on The One Show.

“The bride looked gorgeous and Jake is happy as can be," the proud father explained.

"They’re great. They’re absolutely fantastic," he added.
