Margot Robbie has shockingly revealed that early in her career, a male actor gifted her a book 'telling' her to 'eat less'.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll know that the Australian actress, 35, is currently on a promotional tour for her upcoming movie Wuthering Heights.
Margot is playing Catherine Earnshaw in Emerald Fennell's reimagining of the classic 1847 Emily Brontë novel, alongside fellow Aussie Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff.
With the movie set to be released in cinemas just in time for Valentine's Day, the Barbie star is doing a number of interviews ahead of the big day, with her co-star and Charli XCX, whose created the film's soundtrack album.

In one chat with Complex, Margot and Charli answered a series of questions about their 'worsts' and 'bests' in a number of categories.

They were prompted to speak about the worst gifts they've ever received - and their answers were truly astounding.
Margot revealed: "Very, very early in my career, an actor I worked with, a male actor, gave me a book called Why French Women Don't Get Fat, and it was essentially a book telling you to eat less."
Without naming the actor in question, she added: "I was like, woah, f*** you dude."
Charli then asked whether he was still in the acting business, to which Margot said: "No, that was a - I have no idea where he would even be now, this was really back in the day."
"Yeah, your career's over babe," laughed Charli.
While Margot reaffirmed: "He essentially gave me a book to let me know that I should lose weight, I was like wow."
The book describes itself as 'unclocking the simple secrets of 'the French paradox' - how to enjoy food and stay slim and healthy'.
Released in 2006 and written by Mireille Guiliano, the description reads: "Classy, chic and expertly well-written, this is the book that we have all been waiting for. It's the ultimate non-diet book; instead, showing how to eat with balance, control and above all pleasure. Eat, like a French woman."

Meanwhile, Charli's 'worst ever gift' was arguably equally traumatic.
The singer recalled: "I received once a small jar of one of my fans mother's ashes. Yeah, it was a jar on a necklace. I just didn't quite know what to do with it. Because you don't wanna be like 'I don't want this' because that could be really offensive."
She added: "So, I just sort of took it. I don't know where it is now."
Reacting to Margot's admission, one Twitter user penned: "There’s a very thin line between a helpful suggestion and a total insult, and this coworker crossed it by a mile."
While a second added: "That’s awful. No one deserves that kind of body shaming, especially at work."
And a third quipped: "Imagine giving someone a book telling them to ‘eat less’… peak disrespect."
