Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker reveal details of ‘terrifying’ surgery on son Rocky

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have opened up about the details of their son Rocky's 'terrifying' surgery.
The happy couple, who tied the knot back in 2022, welcomed little Rocky to the world the following year in 2023.
Before his birth, the pair endured a frightful ordeal when Kourtney underwent emergency fetal surgery seven months into her pregnancy when doctors found that Rocky's lungs were filling up with fluid.

"I was touring, I was actually in Europe," the 50-year-old Blink-182 drummer shared in his new Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear, which dropped earlier today (13 August), explaining how he had received a call from the reality TV star, 47, about the diagnosis.
"She says, 'Trav, I went to my doctor and the baby’s lungs are filling with fluid.'"
Barker recalled how doctors 'drained the fluid from his lungs by placing a needle through her stomach'.
"It was terrifying going in for the surgery," Kourtney added. "He cancelled four shows, and he just came and laid with me in the hospital and made sure that everything was OK."
Barker, who is also a father to Atiana de la Hoya, 27, Landon Barker, 22, and Alabama Barker, 20, with ex Shanna Moakler, added: "Once you've experienced a miscarriage, you're just waiting for something awful to happen."
Kourtney sadly suffered a miscarriage after becoming pregnant six months into her relationship with Barker.
The baby girl, who the pair wanted to name Tulip, was found to have no heartbeat following a first-trimester appointment.
"When we lost the baby, we were devastated," Kourtney, who shares three children with her ex Scott Disick; Mason Disick, 16, Penelope Disick, 14 and Reign Disick, continued: "We just laid in bed and cried for days. All we wanted was to have a baby together."
"It felt like my body was shutting down," Kardashian shared when opening up about her subsequent IVF journey. "Each time we would try it, it just felt so disappointing. It really did something that messed with me mentally. I remember crying to Travis, 'I can't do this anymore.'"
Kourtney and Barker eventually conceived naturally with the latter gushing: "It was a miracle.
"He's the healthiest, happiest little human I've ever met."
"Having Rocky gives him another chance to do what he loves most and does best: being a father," Kourtney added.
