Conspiracy theorists have an unlikely ally in Kim Kardashian, whose thoughts on the 1969 Moon landing have gotten a response from NASA.
On Thursday's episode of The Kardashians, the reality TV star shared her doubts about whether humanity had actually landed on the Moon, though she's not the first person to think this.
Despite constant debunking by experts, theories surrounding whether Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the Moon have persisted for more than 50 years since the historic event occurred.
And it appears that Kardashian subscribes to these theories, as on the TV show, she showed Sarah Paulson an alleged interview with Aldrin, before telling her that she'll be 'sending you a million articles with both Buzz Aldrin and the other one'.

The 45-year-old then read out an alleged quote from Aldrin supposedly detailing the 'scariest' part of their expedition, though she didn't make it clear which article she was quoting, nor if the quotes were from the 95-year-old himself.

"This girl says, 'What was the scariest moment?' And [Aldrin] goes, 'There was no scary moment, cause it didnât happen. It could've been scary, but it wasn't, 'cause it didn't happen'," she told the American Horror Story star, adding that she thought because Aldrin had 'gotten old', his supposed comments had made her question whether or not it had happened.
Kim added: "So I think it didnât happen."

Later on, she told a producer that she believes the Moon landing was 'fake'.
The interview in question could be from Aldrin's appearance at a Q&A session at Oxford Union in 2015, where an audience member asked him what the 'scariest moment of the journey' was, and Aldrin is heard to reply with âScariest? It didnât happen. It couldâve been scary.â
It has since emerged that the clip was edited, with a key part of his answer having been removed - namely that he was talking about a 'broken circuit breaker'.

"I think it was fake. I've seen a few videos on Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn't happen. He says it all the time now, in interviews. Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin," Kardashian doubled down.
In response to Kim's comments, NASA's Acting Administrator, Sean Duffy, tweeted directly to her, writing on Twitter: "Yes, @KimKardashian, weâve been to the Moon before⊠6 times!"
He then went on to talk about the space agency's moon exploration program, Artemis, claiming it is 'going back under the leadership' of President Donald Trump.
"We won the last space race and we will win this one too," Duffy said.

His tweet did catch Kim's attention, as she then responded to ask for 'the tea' about 3I/ATLAS, an interstellar comet currently making its way through the Solar System. However, some scientists believe it could be an 'alien spaceship'.

"WaitâŠ. whatâs the tea on 3I Atlas?!?!!!!!!!?????" she said.
Duffy then invited her along to the Kennedy Space Centre to witness the launch of the Artemis mission to the moon, though whether Kim takes him up on that offer remains to be seen.
However, whether people believe her or not seemingly doesn't matter to Kim, as she said on The Kardashians: "Theyâre gonna say Iâm crazy no matter what. But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself."
As for Paulson, she didn't seem to have a strong opinion on Kim's suspicion, saying that she'd do 'a serious deep dive' on the topic at some point.
It seems as though Kim often talks to the 50-year-old about this stuff quite a bit, as she said she sends Paulson 'conspiracies all the time'.
