Megan McKenna has revealed that she moved abroad after a scary armed break-in at her UK home by ‘masked men with machetes and baseball bats’.
The 33-year-old reality TV star from London relocated to Germany, where her footballer husband Oliver Burke, 29, lives, after the terrifying incident left her too scared to live in England by herself.
Burke is currently signed with Union Berlin, having previously played for SV Werder Bremen.
As reported by the Press Association, Megan opened up on the ordeal, which happened two years ago, on the Great Company With Jamie Laing podcast.

She said: “I don’t talk about this with a lot of people because I was worried and scared at the time because people were in prison for it, and when there was a trial going on, so I wasn’t able to talk about it.
“I was robbed really badly in my own home. It scared me so much to be in the UK and to live in the UK on my own, because obviously Ollie’s in Germany.”

Megan revealed that the terrifying incident happened shortly after the couple’s honeymoon in Montenegro.
She explained her husband had to travel back to Germany the day after they landed in the UK and she was by herself in their house.
She fell asleep around 11pm and then woke up to find the house ‘shaking’.
Megan recalled, “I was such a disorientated mess. I was like, ‘What?’ And then I just knew that it was happening to me, and I was like, ‘Oh my God’.
“I get goose pimples now thinking about it. They were inside my house, but I lock my bedroom door every night because I always worry about something happening to me when I’m on my own.
“The next thing I know, my mirror has come off my wall, and they’re hacking a hole through my wall with a baseball bat.”

She added: “They’re three masked men with machetes and baseball bats, and they managed to hack a hole in my wall because it was a fake wall going onto my dressing room, linked to my bedroom.”
Megan was terrified that the intruders would kill her dog and so called the police.
She said the masked men were in her house for seven minutes, which she described as the ‘longest seven minutes’ she’s ever experienced, while the police were warning her not to speak to them.
Megan told the host: “I said, “I can hear they’ve got weapons. They’re hacking my wall down,” and they were like, “We’re on our way.”
“And I was like, “No, they’re hacking my wall down.” And they were like, “Please don’t talk to them.”
“I said, “If I don’t go and talk to them and ask them what they want, they’re going to come in and kill my dog.” I went over to them. I was naked.”

Megan said she approached one of the men, who was wearing a Balaclava and he took her jewellery.
In the midst of the chaos, she also cut her foot, which meant there was ‘blood everywhere’.
The intruders left after getting Megan’s jewellery, which she now thinks was the only thing they wanted, and said the break-in was ‘obviously targeted’.
She explained: “I was like, ‘I’m not safe in my own home.’ The police were amazing at the time, but I was then going through IVF to have [her son] Landon, and they wanted me to go on trial.
“And I just said to them, like, I actually can’t physically do that. Go through it. They got caught, and then they went on trial, and then a year later, they just got let out. They’re just roaming the roads.”
Megan admitted that going through such a terrifying experience ‘changes you forever’.
