Kim Kardashian has issued a response on behalf of her daughter, North West, who faced severe backlash online for expressing herself through fake tattoos and piercings.
12-year-old West, whose father is musician Kanye ‘Ye’ West, donned various Halloween looks to celebrate this year’s holiday, including a BABYMETAL getup, and one resembling Twitch streamer Kai Cenat.
However, it’s her so-called ‘opium Powerpuff Girls’ look that drew criticism from social media users, with many claiming the faux face tattoos, piercings, and jet-black grills she used for the costume were ‘disturbing’.
“Be a mother, @KimKardashian, not a disgrace. Create healthy boundaries for your child. She looks possessed,” commented someone.

Others, however, were quick to defend the child, with another writing: “Ok if anyone actually thinks these face tattoos & piercings are real then I’ve got some lovely ocean front property in Arizona I’d love to sell you.”

Now, Kardashian, 45, has clapped back at the trolls, revealing exactly what she and her daughter think about their comments.
In an interview with Complex ahead of her new Disney+ series All’s Fair, the SKIMS founder began by explaining that West and her friends ‘love’ wearing costumes.
“They love doing looks, and so it's Halloween season, so they put on like fake tattoos on their face, like fake piercings,” she explained. "They all had their colored hair. They look like an opium Powerpuff Girls is like what they were going for.”
The mum-of-four continued, claiming internet users and media outlets cropped West’s friends out of the picture, and just used her face to spread hate.

"I mean, this whole thing about how horrible it is and it's disturbing," Kardashian commented. "And she was like, 'I don't get it. It's like a Halloween costume. It's all fake’.
“So she takes my phone and she writes back to a comment and she goes, 'This is such a non-issue.'”
She added: “And then online, it was like ‘Kim defends North to the end on this look’. That's a good clapback.”
Last month, the reality TV star opened up on the Call Her Daddy podcast about co-parenting West and her young siblings, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with her ex-husband Ye, 48.
The former couple reached a divorce settlement in November 2022, which included joint custody of their children.

Speaking to host Alex Cooper, she said co-parenting wasn’t ‘easy’.
“I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that, I push for it all the time."
The business mogul added that the four kids see the ‘Runaway’ star whenever he ‘calls for them and asks’.
However, she alleged in the October interview that it had ‘probably been a couple months since [they] heard from him'.
