Kim Kardashian makes rare comment about Taylor Swift following decade-long feud

The A-list pair have long been at logger-heads over Kim Kardashians' controversial ex, Kanye West

One of the most fiery Hollywood feuds is over - it seems!

In a bombshell new podcast interview, Kim Kardashian finally addressed her rocky relationship with musician Taylor Swift today this week, with whom she is said to have been at logger-heads with for over 10 years.

For those in need of a reminder, it was actually Kim's controversial ex-husband Kanye West that kickstarted the star-studded spat, all the way back in 2010, when Taylor was just 19.

That year, the rapper was responsible for handing the country-pop star the MTV Video Music Award for the Best Female Video.

But upon taking to the stage, he interrupted Taylor's acceptance speech, telling viewers that Beyoncé should have walked away with the prize instead, and leaving the real winner red-faced.

How did Kanye involve Kim in his feud with Taylor?

The years that followed saw Kanye ceaselessly slam the 'Love Story' chart-topper in the lyrics to his own music - including in his 2016 track 'Famous', in which he sang, 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b***h famous.'

After the singer slammed this move, Kim spoke out in support of her now-disgraced husband, claiming Taylor had in fact approved the lyrics - a claim that was later found to be false.

Kanye also went on to feature a naked lookalike model of Taylor in one of his music videos, and released audio from a number of their private phone-calls.

Of their clash, Taylor previously told press: "Make no mistake, my career was taken away from me."

Since then - as well as divorcing Kanye - Kim has remained tight-lipped about what really went down between she and the musician.

What was the last thing Taylor said on the matter?

It was actually Taylor that fired the latest shot at The Kardashians star, releasing a diss track in 2024 titled 'thanK you aIMee'. If you didn't spot it the first time, the capitalised letters of the track's name spell out her frenemy's name.

In it, the 36-year-old sings about a popular bully - someone with social power who humiliated her publicly.

As we say, however, it sounds as though Kim - who has been estranged from Kanye since 2022 - is ready to put the palaver in the past.

Appearing on sister Khloé Kardashian's Khloé In Wonder Land podcast this week (21 Jan), the SKIMS boss blindsided listeners by paying the record-breaking Grammy-winner a series of somewhat unexpected compliments.

Kim's latest comments

"Do you think people would be surprised that you listen to Taylor Swift?" Khloe, 41, asks her big sister during the spill-all segment.

Responding, Kim then replies: "I think I've said it."

The mother-of-four goes on to explain: "Yeah, I mean, it's just - I have some of her older songs in my playlist.

"I've always thought she's, like, a super talented, great artist."

Despite the pair opting not to plunge any deeper into prior tensions, both Kardashian fans and Swifties are seemingly elated by Kim's latest claim, believing it's a step in the right direction.
