Major update with Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau's relationship as couple go public
'Firework' singer Katy Perry and the former Canadian prime minister were first linked back in July
Days after being papped kissing on a yacht, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have proven that their budding romance is far from a one-off seaside snog.
By the looks of things, the musician and her politician beau are officially something of an item, being photographed and filmed together over the weekend enjoying some very public PDA.
For those in need of a reminder, Perry, 41, and 53-year-old Trudeau were first linked back in July, with TMZ releasing photos of the big-name duo relishing a meal together at a 'swanky restaurant in Montreal'.
Eyewitnesses also claimed at the time they '[sipped] cocktails and shared several dishes, including one with lobster'.

Following his dinner with Perry, a source told press of Trudeau: "Justin has been single for a while and has enjoyed getting to know her.
"He likes her personality, and they are two people who really enjoy chatting about different topics, and they click very well so far, as they are going to see each other again very soon."
Not long after that night out, Trudeau was seen attending one of Perry's Canada concerts alongside his daughter, with footage of the left-wing leader showing him dancing along to the chart-topper's greatest hits.
Earlier this month, the seemingly star-crossed lovers were snapped locking lips on a 24-metre long yacht in the Santa Barbara Channel, California by a group of whale-watching tourists.
"She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out," an onlooker told press of Perry. "I didn't realise who she was with until I saw the tattoos on the guy's arm, and I immediately realised it was Justin Trudeau."
In the days since, fans of the pair have wondered where exactly their relationship currently stands, being that most of their meet-ups seemed to be in attempted incogito mode.
Thankfully, however, Perry and Trudeau have cleared that speculation up this week, confirming with a very public appearance together that they're going strong.
In snaps obtained by TMZ, the couple were seen holding hands in Paris, France on Saturday, where they celebrated the singer's 41st birthday.
Apparently, the loved-up duo were approached as they exited the cabaret show at the Crazy Horse, hand-in-hand.
Members of the paparazzi then proceeded to sing 'Harry Birthday' to the mother-of-one - who wore a skin-tight red dress and chic low-bun - with one handing her a single red rose.
Trudeau - who wore a grey suit and black shirt - then led his new love interest to black SUV, which subsequently drove them away.
The former Canadian prime minister divorced wife of 18 years Sophie - with whom he shares three children - two years prior, in 2023.
'Firework' singer Perry, meanwhile, announced her split from actor Orlando Bloom in July of this year - just weeks before being spotted with Trudeau.
A statement released by the now-ex couple at the time read: "Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."
