Justin Bieber has clapped back after his mother lovingly claimed recently that she's currently 'cheering on' her son.
Pattie Mallette, 50, is a best-selling author, as well as being the Canadian hit-maker's mum, sharing Bieber with ex-partner, Jeremy.
Though the mother-son duo famously boasted a close relationship with the 'Baby' singer first landed on the scene in 2009, their bond has reportedly gone through complex phrases of estrangement over the years.
This said, however, Pattie has long expressed her well-wishes for her 31-year-old son. This included a sentimental public plea she issued on Instagram back in September, in which she claimed that she's 'praying for' Bieber.
The upload consisted of a video compilation of black and white snaps of the father-of-one, who welcomed his own son Jack Blues back in August of last year with Rhode beauty wife Hailey.
The back of Bieber's T-shirt bore the words 'Pray for me' on the back (Instagram/@pattiemallette) In one photo, Bieber could be seen wearing a top that read: "Pray for me".
Taking to the caption, Pattie penned: "We’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin. I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain—be broken in Jesus’ name."
She went on to write: "Holy Spirit, surround him with TRUTH, LIGHT, and PROTECTION. HEAL EVERY WOUND in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS. Fill him to OVERFLOWING with Your LOVE and COMFORT. Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord."
Bieber seemed to clap back at his mother's prayer (Instagram/@pattiemallette) Pattie concluded her post with a final prayer: "Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace. Say amen if you agree."
Though it's been several weeks now since Pattie shared her heartfelt post on social media, Bieber has only just responded.
Taking to the comments, the musician bluntly brushed off her comments, replying with: "Only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong."
Others seemed confused over the post (Instagram/@pattiemallette) Bieber wasn't the only individual to appear confused by Pattie's September upload, with fans at the time thinking it hinted at something going on behind the scenes.
"What happened to Justin?" one 'Belieber' questioned at the time.
A number of Pattie fans quickly reassured said user, however, that 'nothing is wrong' and 'it's just a mother's prayer'.
