Justin Bieber sparks backlash after fans spot 'rude' detail in photo with son

The caption of one of the singer's latest posts has left people puzzled

Justin Bieber has been leaving fans concerned with his latest round of social media posts, including a series of cryptic text messages with an unknown recipient.

And now, fans have spotted a ‘rude’ detail in a recent snap of his nine-month old baby son Jack Blues Bieber, whom he shares with his wife Hailey.

For those not up to speed, the 31-year-old ‘Boyfriend’ singer has been active on Instagram as of recently, sharing multiple posts a day, some of which have left his followers concerned.

On Monday (16 June), he shared a series of back-and-forth messages with what looks like a former friend.

In the screenshots, he told the recipient that their ‘friendship is officially over’ and called them out for not respecting his ‘boundaries’.

He then went on tell them to leave him alone, that he was blocking them, and even called them a ‘p***y’. Ouch.

Justin then went on to issue a follow-up statement after his post sparked an influx of concerned comments from fans.

He wrote on his Instagram story: “Quit asking me if I’m okay. Quit asking me how I’m doing. I don’t do that to you. Because I know how life is for all of us.

“It’s hard. Let’s encourage our people not to project our insecurities on to one another. Your concern doesn’t come off as care.”

Seemingly hitting out at someone in particular, Justin added: “It’s just oppressive weirdo."

Now, back to the post in question that’s got people talking - on the same day the messaging drama went down, Justin also gave fans a sneak peak of baby Jack.

His face was kept out of the snap, which comes as no surprise, as he and wife Hailey have made sure to keep the little one out of the spotlight.

Instead, the adorable picture showed Jack with his hand on Justin’s shoe, wearing a gold bracelet engraved with his initials ‘JBB’.

But it wasn’t the sweet photo itself that confused fans, it was the caption, which was simply a middle finger emoji.

While it seems obvious that the rude emoji wouldn’t be aimed at his son, some fans appear to have taken it that way.

One shocked commenter questioned: “Why you flicking off your son????”

And a second insisted: “That emoji is not right on your child's photo.”

Meanwhile, another follower asked: “Why did you have to put the middle finger emoji as a caption to your son's photo?”

“What is it with the finger babe,” wrote someone else, with another fan adding: “Odd caption with a photo of your baby…”

Other responses included: “Wtf is the caption?” and “Weird caption for a photo of your child lmao.”

Meanwhile, another follower rushed to defend Justin and clarify that the emoji was actually ‘aimed at the haters’.

Someone else agreed: “holy f*** y’all find the smallest things to be negative on.”
