Truth behind viral Justin and Hailey Bieber clip as fans defend them against bold accusations

Fans of the couple have attempted to debunk rumours that there's trouble in paradise

In recent months, Justin Bieber and wife Hailey's marriage has fallen into scrutiny, with social media critics forging theories that the pair are actually enduring a prolonged rocky patch behind the scenes.

Amidst the speculation is a particularly heartbreaking rumour that the Canadian singer 'secretly hates' his other half, with trolls often sharing content that they say show Bieber's maltreatment of Hailey.

So much so, that a batch of loyal fans have since been forced to defend the couple.

For those in need of a reminder of the big-name duo's romance, Bieber and Hailey tied the knot in 2018 following several years on-off.

Bieber had previously dated Disney star Selena Gomez, whilst Hailey had been official with fellow hit-maker Shawn Mendes.

They wed during an official ceremony in New York, closely followed by a religious service in North Carolina, and in August of last year, they welcomed their first child together - a son, Jack Blues.

However, in recent years the pair's relationship has been called into question by both the tabloid media and online critics, especially with regard to concerns surrounding the musician's mental health.

As well as the father-of-one being seen appearing increasingly more dishevelled in public - to the extent that his representatives have been forced to comment on the state of his wellbeing - social media sites like TikTok and Instagram have become littered with clips of him allegedly neglect his Rhode boss Mrs.

One video regularly doing the rounds in this regard sees the couple on the red carpet of the 2022 Grammy Awards, where Bieber, 31, can be seen donning an oversized grey blazer, neon pink beanie and pair of crocs.

Hailey, meanwhile, wears a super-chic silk dress.

In the several-seconds-long clip, the 29-year-old model can be seen beckoning her husband over for photographs, even going as far as to reach out for the 'Baby' chart-topper's arm.

Bieber, meanwhile, pulls away and begins heading to the other side of the carpet.

The singer was slammed for dismissing Hailey at the time, with many using the clip to argue that Bieber was suited to ex-girlfriend, Gomez.

It turns out, however, that the clip was chopped down, with fans of the couple claiming this was likely done to paint the musician in a poor light or to spur break-up rumours.

In the full clip - which was shared on the official GRAMMYs' YouTube channel at the time - paparazzi clearly ask Hailey to stand alone for a series of solo shots, during which Bieber waits on the sidelines.

Seconds earlier, and not included in the shortened video, the pair pose happily together, even sharing a kiss on the red carpet with Bieber appearing to tell his wife, 'I love you'.

In another moment, he surprises her by leaning forward and kissing her neck.

Pointing out that the way that the clip has been used to convey a certain message about the couple, one fan wrote recently on Reddit: "I thought this was a good clarification on some of the claims that Justin has always hated Hailey.

"The man is clearly going through something right now, but there is also a media narrative constantly working hard against this relationship."

Another admitted: "This is the first time I'm seeing this clip outside its Vine context."

"I had no idea this happened. Thanks for sharing," added a third.
