In his brand new Netflix docu-series, Gordon Ramsay opened up on the 'hellish' relationship he shares with his 'heroin addict' brother.
Fans of the foul-mouthed celebrity chef were promised a 'behind the scenes' look at Ramsay's 'family life, global empire' and the launch of his 'biggest' restaurant yet, but many were subsequently surprised to see the six-part series featuring some tender moments.
One saw the global restaurateur discussing the 'torrid' relationship he endured with his father, claiming that, as a youngster: "I couldn’t wait to spend time out of the house away from him. I had to sit there at weekends and almost watch him ruin his life through alcohol.

"It’s hard when someone’s an alcoholic. In many ways I’m using that awful relationship to become a better dad."
Another heartbreaking moment hinged on the guilt Ramsay, 59, claimed to feel for his younger brother, Ronnie, which he insisted continues to cripple him during his most difficult moments.
Looking back on his upbringing, the Hell's Kitchen star recalled: "I got dealt a dysfunctional card. That drives me. That puts fuel in my tank. I was so close to not making it. That’s what keeps me going.
"I have a brother who is a heroin addict. We shared a bunk bed."
Becoming emotional, Ramsay - who grew up on a council estate in Stratford-upon-Avon - continued: "He's 15 months younger than me and he’s been an addict for the past four decades.

"I’ve gone to hell and back with him. I have a guilt complex that could have been me."
Ronnie, 58, was arrested in Bali in 2007 for possessing a small amount of a Class A drug.
He received a fine, and served 10 months in jail.
Revealing the impact that his brother's poor health and wellbeing has had on his own life, the father-of-six continued: "When that change is so close to you - it’s your brother, it’s not a cousin, it’s not a mate down the pub, it’s your brother."
Ramsay added: "Born in the same house, grew up in the same bedroom, shared bunk beds and so similar, but so different now."
