Questions have been raised over Olympic newlywed Adam Peaty's family 'feud', after Gordon Ramsay fired a brutal 'dig' in his direction during his 'father of the bride' speech this weekend.
For those out of the loop, 31-year-old medal-winning swimmer Peaty tied the knot with Holly Ramsay - the celebrity's chef's 25-year-old daughter - during a star-studded service at Bath Abbey on Saturday (27 December).
The couple first met in 2021, when Peaty was signed up for Strictly Come Dancing with his bride-to-be's little sister, Matilda. Though the athlete was still with ex-girlfriend Eirianedd Munro at the time, with whom he shares a five-year-old son, he and Holly went public with their romance in 2023.
The likes of Ex-England legend David Beckham and his fashion designer wife Victoria were among the celebrity guests invited to see them say 'I do', as well as to a grand reception that followed, held at the plush Kin House.

Channel 5 newsreader Dan Walker was also spotted on the guest list, along with Dragons' Den star Sara Davies, MasterChef: The Professionals front-man Marcus Wareing, and Saturday Kitchen regular Paul Ainsworth.
Whilst social media star Holly's parents and five siblings, Matilda, 24, Megan, 27, Jack, 25, Oscar, six, and Jesse, one, led the festivities, Peaty's side of the aisle was said to have been slightly less crowded, given that neither his mother nor father received invitations.
When did the Peaty family 'feud' start?
Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of this weekend's nuptials, Caroline Peaty claimed a huge family fall-out had seen her struck off the guest list several months earlier. This bitter feud, she claimed, had been caused by Holly initially failing to invite her to her hen party.
The girly celebration was held at exclusive members club Soho Farmhouse in November, with Victoria Beckham, her own mother Tana, and Peaty's sister being invited along.

Around the same time, Peaty's brother James was said to have been arrested upon the pair's return from Budapest, where they celebrated his stag-do. Police later confirmed that a 34-year-old man had been 'arrested on suspicion of harassment', but was 'released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue', as per Metro.
What has Peaty's family said?
Weeks later, Peaty's auntie Louise claimed Caroline was left 'not okay' with being left out of the bachelorette party.
Another family member reportedly told The Sun of the weekend away: "We were sent a save the date and it’s all these country houses. I’m on Universal Credit - I can’t afford that. Adam has been changed by money, fame and fortune. He seems to have forgotten where he came from."
Following her lack of invitation, Caroline was reportedly 'banned' from the wedding altogether, after going on something of a social media tirade.
At one point, she wrote on Instagram: "Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is."

In another, Caroline penned: "The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most. When you love someone, you protect them from the pain, you don’t become the cause of it."
The same family insider added of the matter: "We think he has treated Caroline appallingly. You can hear it in her voice. She’s heartbroken."
As we say, prior to Peaty and Holly's wedding, Caroline told the Daily Mail: "I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out. This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together - my family is broken."
Has Peaty ever responded to his family's claims?
Months prior to his wedding, Peaty previously responded to rumours of mounting tension, writing on social media: "Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself.
"My sister Bethany, has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family."

He added that, due to an active police inquiry into 'serious matters that arose long before recent events', he couldn't provide any more specifics, emphasising, however: "For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place."
Then, whilst delivering his speech this weekend, he is understood to avoided references to his family, instead giving a special shout-out to his swim coach, Mel Marshall, describing her as his 'everything', and thanking her for 'grounding and inspiring' him.
Peaty also confessed to seeing Mel 'like a mum'.
What has Gordon Ramsay said?
Whilst making his 'father of the bride' speech this weekend, 59-year-old culinary connoisseur Ramsay alluded to Peaty's family fall-out in a remark which some have interpreted as a 'dig' and others, a message of welcome.

According to The Sun - who reportedly spoke to a handful of wedding guests - the father-of-six promised that his wife, Tana, would be a 'good mum to them [Peaty and Holly] both'.
He also told his daughter it's a 'shame' she 'doesn't have the same'.
Ramsay's remark was closely followed by a gushy statement about how beautiful Holly looked, after which he described his new son-in-law as a 'lucky man'. "Look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to," he went on to jibe.
