Asked this week if he'd be willing to modify his menus in response to the popularity surge in weight-loss drugs, Gordon Ramsay took no prisoners.
The celebrity chef - who boasts a global collection of around 90 restaurants - launched his latest tirade on Saturday (9 Nov), just days after fellow culinary connoisseur Heston Blumenthal announced a new 'mindful' experience at his Fat Duck venue.
The three Michelin-starred Berkshire restaurant implemented a reduced menu back in September to accommodate diners using injectables in a bid to achieve their ideal physique. Blumenthal's selection not only reduces portion sizes, but promises the same distinct flavour of his original menu.
"Millions of people are eating much less food, drinking less, losing interest in restaurants, losing interest even in food," the molecular gastronomist, 59, explained back in September.

"For more than a decade I’ve been saying that mindful eating is one of the keys to happiness and mental health."

Of his new £275 tasting menu, Blumenthal added: "People used to joke that the portions on a tasting menu were so small that you had to grab a burger on the way home.
"But now, as our needs add expectations and appetites change, maybe this carefully structured menu is the perfect answer to what many people are looking for."
For those unfamiliar with the nature of medications used for weight-loss, the likes of Ozempic and Wegovy use semaglutide to prevent the pancreas from releasing glucagon - a hormone that prompts the liver to release glucose into the blood.
In doing this, the drug - initially purposed to manage the symptoms and side effects of Type-2 diabetes - can help limit a person's hunger, resulting in weight loss, as per WebMD.

Mounjaro works in a similar way, using tirzepatide as opposed to semaglutide.
As we say, however, asked if he'd be willing to make similar changes to his foodie chains in response to a boom in appetite-suppressing injectables, 59-year-old Ramsay refused to mince his words.
"That is absolute bulls**t," the father-of-six hit out in conversation with The Sunday Times. "There’s no f**king way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab.
"The problem is with them [the diners] for eating too much in the first f**king place!" he added, taking aim at weight-loss drug consumers themselves.

"There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f**k by 10:30 in the evening."
Weight-loss jabs aren't the only thing the British chef slammed in his fiery rant, however, also taking the opportunity to call out both mobile phone users and food content creators.
"F**king ring lights and posting about how good the food is," Ramsay continued.
Despite recognising the important role that social media has in promoting a restaurant, he hit out at the prospect of constant picture-taking ruining the experience for fellow diners, adding: "Because they’re constantly taking f**king pictures with their flashlights on."
