It’s safe to say that the internet is absolutely obsessed with Erling Haaland and his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng - and now, he’s shared the secret to finding the one.
The Norway and Manchester City footballer, 25, has been making headlines on and off the pitch during the World Cup, not only for his unstoppable goals, but also his hilarious, quirky personality.
From accidentally ignoring a message from Tom Holland because he didn’t know who he was, to reacting to his country’s immediate win on Snapchat, and surprisingly having a luxury Hermes bag collection, people can’t seem to get enough of the striker.
His girlfriend, Isabel, 22, who is building a career in content creation and fashion, just broke the record for the tournament’s biggest single-day follower gain for a WAG so far, as reported by Vantix Magazine.

Most fans would be surprised to learn, though, that despite having only been in a relationship for five years, the duo actually knew each other as children.
Haaland and Isabel grew up in the same hometown - Bryne, which is located in southwestern Norway.
They both took part in the local football community as children and played on the same team, which sounds like something out of a rom-com.
But their true romance only began when they rekindled after Haaland moved to Germany to play for Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to Elle Magazine, the World Cup star revealed his brutal secret to finding love.
He told the publication, “If I have any advice? It’s to get out and socialize. Meet people and get to know people.”
Haaland warned, “From my experience, you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you’re always looking for a girlfriend, you’ll never find one.”
Speaking in an October 2025 YouTube video, he recalled: “She played football. We met and all of that. It’s nice because you understand football.”
And in a separate interview with NRK, about how their relationship began, the sportsman revealed it actually wasn’t him who made the first move.
Haaland explained: “She sent me a message. But she played for the same club I played for, Bryne. So she checked me out, I didn’t check her out.”
By the looks of things, the couple have been going strong ever since and went on to welcome a son together in December 2024.
Isabel seems to have been to all of Haaland’s World Cup games so far, so there’s no doubt she’ll be waiting in the wings when Norway takes on England this weekend!
