Since his life changed when he came out, he's shared the advice he would give to his younger self, if he could.
Having joined non-profit organisation American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to advocate for trans youth outside of the Supreme Court, he has been active in his role of supporting those who are marginalised.

He released his memoir Pageboy in 2023, and star admitted to feeling a lot of 'shame' about his identity, confusion about his path, and how it all led to him finding his truth.

"Shame had been drilled into my bones since I was my tiniest self, and I struggled to rid my body of that old toxic and erosive marrow," Page wrote.
In a video shared to the ACLU Instagram back in December, Page made a moving admission about what he would say to his younger self given the chance: "My message to my younger self would be, just like, 'You know who you are, and please embrace that.'
"I understood my truth.
"I felt it very strongly and it was all of these external forces and noises that pushed and pulled, and made me sort of lose track of who I was.

"I guess to my younger self I'd say that the discomfort and pain you're feeling - that is not yours. That is theirs. And to just keep going on the journey of embracing who you truly are.
"That what's going to lead you to happiness," Page concluded the strong message.
Fans were quick to flock to the comments and praise Page for his words.

At the time, he penned a letter to his social media that read: "Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life."
