Dylan Sprouse isn't taking the reaction to his controversy to heart after he referred to himself and his twin brother Cole Sprouse as 'children of incest.'
Identical twins Cole and Dylan Sprouse have been in the limelight since they were teeny little boppers on Friends in the 90s and 2000s.
From then on, the world has been able to watch them grow, and become adults and even a father as Dylan welcomed his first child with Barbara Palvin last month.
However, on October 20th on his Wildmen podcast, 34-year-old Dylan, said he ‘found out something weird’ about his family’s history of twins.

This revelation came after a DNA test was taken to learn more about his ancestry, reports People.
In the end, he put it bluntly as he claimed of the results: “Cole and I are children of incest.”

He explained: “When I first took it, my actual breakdown of history was very different than it is now.
“I’ve found a lot of family members, weirdly, who I never met, because my dad’s side of the family is pretty fractured. I started to talk to them, compare and contrast.”
"They diverged," Dylan said about his parents' family lines. "Then, they married again with my mom and my dad, like, last generation."
He then said that on his maternal and paternal sides of his family 'had seven sets of twins in four generations.'
He said he realised the reason for this was ‘because it’s the same family' as he claims they spent generations marrying each other.
Of course, when he released this information, the internet was soon abuzz with comments.
One person wrote: " Well, if you get deep into ancestry at all…we all are."
Another said: " You go back far enough, everyone has inc*st in their lineage."
Someone else joked: “Oh, lordy.”
But Dylan doesn't have any hard feelings over the reaction to his DNA statement.
In fact, on Thursday (22 October), the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum, shared a meme to the Instagram account of his Wildmen podcast.
Dylan captioned it 'targaryen maxxing,' which references the Targaryen bloodline in George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, which sees them engage in regular incest to preserve its pure Valyrian bloodline.
“Noooo! You cannot marry your first cousin, it will lead to homozygosity, which can increase the chances of your offspring being affected by deleterious or recessive traits,” the meme read.
On the other side of the image was a picture of Dylan and Cole’s heads as they replied: “haha long jaw go brrrr.”
“I’d only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general came from my mom’s side of the family. We had seven sets of twins in four generations,” Dylan said on his podcast of the results.
