Cole Sprouse has an unexpected reaction to twin Dylan’s ‘incest’ discovery
Cole Sprouse has publicly reacted to the headlines about his twin brother Dylan’s shocking ‘incest’ family revelation.
The brothers, who rose to fame on Disney Channel's hit series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, have been in the news today after Dylan’s latest podcast appearance.
On the Tuesday (20 October) episode of the Wildmen podcast, Dylan, 34, admitted that he ‘found out something weird’ about his family and its history of twins after he took a DNA test to find out more about his ancestry.
He explained: “When I first took it, my actual breakdown of history was very different than it is now.

“I’ve found a lot of family members, weirdly, who I never met, because my dad’s side of the family is pretty fractured. I started to talk to them, compare and contrast.”
As reported by PEOPLE Magazine, Dylan spoke of how he found that both sides of his family lived in California during the Gold Rush before they were joined by marriage in the late 1800s.
He said: “And then, they diverged, and then they married again [through] my mom and my dad, like, last generation.
After doing more digging, he ‘started to get suspicious’ after discovering that like himself and Cole, his father’s uncles were also identical twins.
Dylan told listeners: “I called Cole, I showed him a picture, I was like, ‘Dude, I just found out some f***ing crazy s***.“I’d only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general came from my mom’s side of the family. We had seven sets of twins in four generations, “because it’s the same family!”
He realised that his family genes may have crossed over at some point, which meant ‘a lot of stuff started to make sense’.
He said: “One of my aunts was a twin, but she was one of the twins who ate her twin in the womb, and when they cut open a cyst in her shoulder, it had teeth and hair,” joking: “Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest.”
However, after the lighthearted discovery made the news, Cole took to Instagram to playfully poke fun at some of the coverage.
He shared Just Jared’s version of this story, which, similar to a lot of other reports, included the headline: “Dylan Sprouse says he & brother Cole are children of incest.”
The Disney star wrote on his Instagram Story: “No media training on Earth can prep you to read this clickbait headline at 10am.” Ouch.
Cole followed up with another post, this time about how he’s constantly being mistaken for his twin brother.
Alongside a selfie, he joked: “It’s that time of year again where I get tagged in Victoria’s Secret content cause people still don’t know who married Barbara [Palvin].”
The Hungarian model and actress just walked the iconic VS catwalk, while her hubby adorably cheered her on from the sidelines.
They welcomed their first child together, a baby girl called Sylvie, in September.
“There’s a moment when I look at Sylvie, and I’m like, ‘This is the coolest thing ever,’ Dylan said of Sylvie in another recent episode of Wildmen.
“She’s looking at me, and her eyes are opening. She’s got a small wake window during the day, and she’s looking at me, and she smiles or something, and it’s the cutest thing.”
