Britney Spears has shared the brutal way Justin Timberlake dumped her, having spoken out about their high profile relationship in her new book.
The ‘Gimme More’ hit-maker is set to spill everything in her hotly anticipated memoir, The Woman In Me, which hits shelves next week.
Ahead of its release, we’ve all been able to get a sneak peek through a series of excerpts that have been shared with the media - and if those are anything to go by, it’s going to be seriously juicy.

Britney isn’t holding back, having even spilled the tea on her relationship with Justin Timberlake, who she was with between 1999 and 2002.
It’s always been rumoured that the pair called it quits after a close encounter with Australian choreographer, Wade Robson.
Britney confirms she kissed Wade during a night out in her new memoir, according to The US Sun, writing: “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.”
She goes on to say that she was loyal to the former *NSYNC singer for years ‘with that one exception’.
Britney apparently told Justin about the kiss and they were able to move past it and stay together.
However, the pair did eventually break up, with Britney also revealing how the split came about... Via text.
The New York Times reports she recounts how he dumped her via text in the new book, saying she was seen as the ‘harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy’.
Britney said the breakup left her 'devastated', having even considered leaving the music industry altogether.
“I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she said.
The message came through while Britney was in the middle of shooting the music video for ‘Overprotected’, according to director Chris Applebaum.
He wrote on Instagram last year: “At some point during the 2nd [half of the video shoot] Brit disappeared and I went to her trailer to fetch her … only to discover her BF Justin had just broken up with her via text message. (Let me recommend to any who reads this: don’t break up via text!).
“We sat on the floor of her trailer for a minute, talked it out, and then rallied.
“I told her she should get out there and show Justin he made the biggest mistake of his life.”
The singer also claimed that she became pregnant during her relationship with Justin and ultimately decided to have an abortion.
In her memoir, Britney explained she had plans of starting a family with Justin, but that he insisted they were both too young to become parents at the time.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn't a tragedy," Britney said.
"I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.
"But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young."
The Woman in Me will be released 24 October 2023.
