Brad Pitt’s jaw-dropping birthday present to ex wife Jennifer Aniston 14 years after divorce

Brad Pitt reportedly bought Jennifer Aniston a multi-million dollar present for her 50th birthday, 14 years on from their divorce.

Pitt and Aniston were one of the most talked-about couples of the nineties.

After being introduced by their managers in 1998, they tied the knot in 2000 - making sure to waste no time.

But five years into their marriage, Aniston called time on their relationship, and filed for divorce.

The pair confirmed the split in 2005, in a joint statement which they released to People magazine.

They said: "This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration.

"We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another.

"We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months."

Fans all over the world were devastated after being invested in every move they made, but it wasn't long before Pitt moved on.

Not long after the divorce, it was made known that the actor was starting a family with Angelina Jolie.

Which put Aniston in the centre of a media frenzy.

Following his divorce from Jolie in 2016, Pitt made an attempt to get back in touch with the Friends actress, apologising for what he put her through.

Having made amends, he took things to the next level on her 50th birthday.

It has been reported that Pitt made the grand gesture of gifting her a $79 million Beverly Hills mansion - which they previously resided in as a couple.

Aniston said to have regretted losing the house during their split, so when it went back on the market, Pitt didn't mess around in securing it for her.

Reflecting on their relationship in 2008, Aniston spoke to Vogue and said: "When were Brad and I healed? Well, it never was that bad.

"I mean, look, it's not like divorce is something that you go, 'Oooh, I can't wait to get divorced!' It doesn't feel like a tickle.

"But I've got to tell you, it's so vague at this point, it's so faraway in my mind, I can't even remember the darkness."

She added: "It wasn't mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can't talk to Jen and Jen can't talk to Brad because this person won't allow it.

"It just didn't happen. The marriage didn't work out."
