Bianca Censori explains real reason she’s always seen naked in public

The Aussie architect has spoken out on her 'obsession with nudity' and marriage to Kanye West in her first-ever interview

Bianca Censori has publicly spoken out in her first ever interview, explaining the reason why she was 'obsessed with nudity'.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the 31-year-old Australian architect and wife of Kanye West, has lifted the lid on everything from her relationship with the disgraced rapper, to that headline-making Grammys moment, and why she's speaking out now.

Apart from appearing alongside her husband, whom she tied the knot with in 2022, Censori has remained firmly out of the public eye and has never spoke to the press, remaining somewhat an elusive and mysterious figure - until now, that is.

I'm sure everyone will remember last year's Grammys, where the celebrity couple left the world speechless when Censori wore a completely see-through mini dress, before departing shortly before the ceremony.

Speaking to the publication, the designer explained: "I had an obvious obsession with nudity. I was naked everywhere. I didn’t detach with it at any point."

She added: "I consistently showed the same imagery over and over and over again. I live my artwork."

In 2025, following the head-turning red carpet moment, Censori was the most-googled woman in the world, something she attributed to 'mystery having power'.

"I’m trying not to sound like I’m bragging, but it is not a position that anybody in time has ever had that much visibility without speech," the Aussie claimed.

She urged: "If it was just nudity, a lot of people would have that. But it also proves in a time that was so overexposed and vulnerable, that mystery still has power."

In recent years, questions and worries have arisen from the public over exactly who is behind Censori's shock-factor moments, especially those including West.

However, the architect has shut down the claims that anyone aside from herself is in control of her life.

Censori explained: "I wouldn’t be doing something I didn’t want to do. Me and my husband would work on my outfits together. So it was like a collaboration, it was never ‘I was being told to do something.’... If you were married to Gianni Versace, wouldn’t he give you a dress or something?"

It also didn't bother Censori that people were seeing her nudity as cheap rather than artistic work 'making a statement about control and sexuality'.

She said: "I didn’t not like that part. I’ve never gone home and cried myself to sleep over anything anyone has said, because it interests me when the reaction is not the intention, because that’s just what lives within everybody."

Censori recalled: "I was explaining this to somebody once, and he said, ‘Well, your intention was lost.’ It’s okay that the intention was lost. It doesn’t matter. I was able to express myself. That’s all that mattered.”

And as for what the public think of her, she 'doesn't really care' and simply thinks 'they'll get it someday'.

Adding: "And if they don’t, they don’t. As long as I’m able to express myself to my full potential, that’s all that matters to me.”
