Bella Hadid has given fans a rare update after her hospital photos sparked major concern and backlash.
The 28-year-old model shared the alarming photos last week (17 September) along with the caption: "I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys."
Concerning snaps included Bella on a hospital bed and hooked up to machines, as well as teary selfies.
Around the same time, Bella's mother, Yolanda, also shared a series of photos of Bella in the hospital along with a lengthy caption explaining the trials and tribulations she's had to endure after being diagnosed with 'the invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease' back in 2013.

"No child is supposed to suffer in their body with an incurable chronic disease," she shared. "I admire your bravery and your willingness to keep fighting for health despite the failing protocols and countless setbacks you have faced.

"There simply aren’t words big enough for the darkness, the pain, and the unknown hell you’ve lived through since your diagnosis in 2013. You didn’t really live, you learned how to exist inside the jail of your own paralysed brain."
She added: "I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone. I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes.

"You have fought through another month of treatment and I know god is good, miracles do happen everyday. I pray for your speedy recovery my love."
However, as heartfelt as they might be, not everyone approved of Yolanda sharing her sentiments, and the decision to also share the pictures has caused some major backlash online.
Nonetheless, fans will be assured to see that, in the latest update, Bella appeared to be doing well just a matter of days after being treated in hospital.

On Wednesday (24 September), she was spotted stepping out looking fashionable as per in a brown trench coat, black sunnies and a leather Coach handbag with her flowing golden brown locks pushed back and a brown headband to pull the whole ensemble together.

The long-anticipated public outing came the same day that she posted on her Instagram Stories that it was her 'first day in the gym in a long time!'
"Just walking but still! Getting my stamina back," the overlay text read on a photo of herself on a treadmill.

A number of A-list celebrities have Lyme disease, which is said to impact around 400,000 people in the US every year, while in the UK there are around 3,000 to 4,000 new cases yearly.

However, the figures are thought to be much higher in reality, as according to the UK government, many cases are treated without formal laboratory confirmation.
The disease, which both Yolanda and Bella's brother Anwar also have, is a bacterial infection that can be spread to humans by infected ticks.

It's typically easier to treat if it's diagnosed early with one of the main symptoms being a 'circular or oval shape rash' forming around the tick bite.
