Yolanda Hadid’s concerning photos of daughter Bella in hospital sparks major backlash

Bella and Yolanda Hadid have concerned fans with a series of very personal photos

Yolanda Hadid has come under fire from critics after she posted a series of deeply personal photos of her daughter, Bella, in hospital.

She shared a series of photos of Bella in bed and undergoing treatments, and wrote a lengthy caption dedicated to her struggles.

It comes after Bella also shared her own selection of pics, but many critics have hit back at the decision to share such intimate moments, questioning whether it was a step too far, and if their health battles should remain somewhat private.

Yolanda wrote: "As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me."

"After many years I stopped sharing my personal story because I needed an energetic shift, time to focus on my healing rather than absorb other people’s opinions about my journey."

"Even so, I am the CEO of my health and after fifteen years of searching the globe, I am still determined to find a cure affordable for all."

Yolanda wrote to Bella: "The invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone."

"I try to lead by example on our Lyme journey but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer," she continued.

"You are relentless and courageous, no child is supposed to suffer in their body with an incurable chronic disease."

"There simply aren’t words big enough for the darkness, the pain, and the unknown hell you’ve lived through since your diagnosis in 2013," she continued, saying her daughter 'learned how to exist inside the jail of your own paralyzed brain.'

She added: "You have fought through another month of treatment and I know God is good, miracles do happen everyday. I pray for your speedy recovery my love."

Yolanda then called her a 'badass Warrior'.

However, as heartfelt as they might be, not everyone approves of Yolanda sharing her sentiments, and the decision to also share the pictures has caused some backlash.

"lmao how does everyone get Lyme?" wrote one, after the prevalence of celebrities being diagnosed with the condition, including Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber.

Another hit out: "Does Yolanda not understand the privacy and vulnerability of her daughters? Is it too much to expose Bella like this? This situation is so bad."

"This is so weird and creepy," slammed one. "If you don’t care about your right to privacy, how about our (the public’s) right to not have to see such personal and private moments? This makes me uncomfortable. I shouldn’t be seeing this."

On X, another social media user replied: "Yeah this is getting weird I’m sorry, I feel so bad for her especially having this broadcasted to the entire world."

"Posing in a hospital bed and immediately posting it to social media gives me the utmost ick" confessed another.

Bella, Yolanda, and Anward Hadid all said they were diagnosed with Lyme disease, and they say that Bella is suffering with chronic symptoms of the condition.

Contrary to what the Hadid family refer to as 'chronic lyme', the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and many medical experts refer to it as Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome (PTLDS), where symptoms carry on after treatment with antibiotics.

The CDC is trying to discourage the use of the term Chronic Lyme Disease because it 'implies that prolonged symptoms are caused by an ongoing bacterial infection when, in fact, the cause is not currently known.'
