Cody Simpson makes rare admission about exes Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid
Finally, a man who only speaks about his exes publicly when it's with respect.
Cody Simpson has opened up about how 'grateful' he is for his past relationships with Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Miley Cyrus.
Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, the Australian singer and actor went out with Jenner when he was around 15 years old.
The pair dated from around 2011-2012, Simpson then dated Hadid from 'on and off for around two years,' and then struck up a relationship with Cyrus around four years later - the musicians having known each other since they were around 18.
In an episode released earlier today (10 March), Simpson sat down with Paul C. Brunsen on his podcast We Need To Talk and reflected on his previous relationships and what lessons he learnt from them.

As a result of being home schooled alongside his music career, Simpson explained attending events such as the premiere of Twilight was one of the only ways he could 'socially be a kid'.
And that's where he ended up bumping into Jenner.
In the episode, he recalled taking his sister to the event and bumping into Kylie and Kendall interviewing people on the carpet, later asking for Kylie's number.
Simpson reflected on the relationship: "It was young. I took her to the movies or something. We dated for about a year. I think just bonded through being in these unique situations.
"So it was nice. I think it's just nice to relate to somebody at that age in that world."
And then his next girlfriend was Hadid, Simpson first spotting Hadid on a poster in the mall when shopping with a friend.
After pointing it out, his friend offered to share Hadid's number with Simpson and he ended up 'cold calling' her, asking her if she would be in his music video.
Simpson revealed: "There was no music video. No plans for a video, the videos have all been shot and this was like right around, I was doing my second album.
"I'm pretty sure I pitched her this whole concept that didn't exist. And she goes, ‘Yeah, okay, sure.’ And I think that just broke the ice. [...] So I started texting her and I'm like, ‘Ah I don't think the video is going to happen anymore, but like, do you want to catch up? Do you want to go out for food or whatever?’"
Simpson then went and picked her up and they hung out, reflecting on Hadid as his 'first love'.
The pair went out 'on and off' for 'about two years,' the model going 'on tour' with Simpson.
Simpson added he also bonded with Hadid's stepdad at the time who was music producer David Foster, a relationship he doesn't think he 'appreciated enough' at the time.
Simpson reflected: "You find the universe brings people together when they're supposed to be together.
"[...] It was certainly we were supposed to be together when we were and learnt things from each other that were obviously necessary for us to learn at that time at that age."
Around the age of 22 to 23, Simpson dated Cyrus, the pair together during the pandemic.
They'd known each other since around the age of 18 and 'always had a lot in common,' finding comfort in each other given their similar experiences of the industry and rebelling against it.
Simpson praised Cyrus for helping him 'navigate' the industry and for being such a good 'friend'.
Their friendship then turned into something more, Simpson ultimately reflecting how 'grateful' he'll always be for all they shared.
