Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan responds to split rumours from long-term girlfriend 15 months after welcoming baby

The actor recently spoke about his son's mother

Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan has responded to reports that he has split from long-term partner Alyson Sandro.

The pair are said to have split last summer following the birth of their 15-month-old son, Brando.

Speaking about his son in a recent interview, Barry, 31, explained having Brando was 'the best time of [his] life' adding that he was also filming new movie Saltburn at the time he was born.

“It was probably the best time of my life, to be quite fair." he told GQ.

"Havin’ a baby boy, and leadin’ a movie. It was the best time of my life, I must say - yeah,"

While Barry didn't comment on the split rumours specifically, he did speak about Alyson, adding: “She’s done a great job and she’s an incredible mother."

Discussing becoming a father, he added: "I can’t get the little boy off my mind. It’s beautiful. Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world.

"That’s the effect he has on me. He smiles at you and you’re like, 'Wow, you're smiling at me like that? I don't deserve that, but anyways, thanks'."

The publication said that the actor offered 'nothing further'.

Tyla has contacted Keoghan's reps for further comment.

Barry and Alyson first started dating in 2021, but last summer reports emerged that they had parted ways.

According to Metro, the actor has since been linked with American singer Sabrina Carpenter, 24, after the pair were spotted heading out to dinner together in Los Angeles.

While it was rumoured that the pair would be stepping out together at The Golden Globes earlier this week, Barry instead hit the red carpet solo.

While the actor has received a series of nominations for his performance as Oliver Quick in new movie, Saltburn, he missed out on a Golden Globe to Oppenheimer's Cillian Murphy, who bagged Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture.

Saltburn first arrived on Amazon Prime Video back in December and has been causing a lot of hype among viewers.

Also starring Jacob Elordi, the film centres around Oxford University student Oliver, who is invited to spend the summer with his super-rich classmate Felix Catton at his family's estate.

It's also directed by Emerald Fennell and also stars Richard E. Grant and Rosamund Pike.

Athough, be warned that it's not a very good Christmas movie to show the family - which one woman unfortunately found out last year.
