There are some cinematic icons who will simply go down in history for what they have brought to the silver screen.
Whether we're talking Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Jack Nicholson, Jane Birkin, Elizabeth Taylor or Grace Kelly - it's clear there are some stars in the cinematic hall of fame whose work has changed the face of film forever.
And there's no question that Audrey Hepburn belongs on such a rundown after starring in box office smashes like Sabrina, Funny Face, My Fair Lady, Roman Holiday and, of course, Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Hepburn did far more than simply act, however, as she engaged in heaps of humanitarian work.

She dedicated the final years of her life to humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, tirelessly advocating for children's rights and emergency relief, for which she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

But fans have been left seriously shocked to learn when the beloved actress actually died after seeing 'old' photos of her for the very first time.
It all started when one fan took to X to share two snaps of Hepburn later on in her life, along with the caption: "Why do people only share young photos of Audrey Hepburn. Like this woman was stunning at all ages."
"I actually assumed that she died young. That's so sinister," penned a second, while a third chimed in: "I remember thinking she passed young because I only saw young photos of her for so long…"

A fourth beamed: "This is the kind of ageing you get when you're not in anyone's business."
"Damn, she got finer over time!" praised a fifth, while a sixth complimented: "Right??! She was always stunning."
Another agreed: "You're absolutely right. Her beauty wasn't limited to her youth; her older photos, clearly showing her wrinkles and experience, reveal a different kind of captivating beauty, especially during her work with UNICEF."

And a final X user pointed out: "She was still pretty young when she died."
That's most definitely true, as Hepburn passed away in 1993 at the age of 63 - which is still relatively young when you think about it.
Her cause of death was appendix cancer.
Hepburn left behind two sons: Sean, with her first husband, actor Mel Ferrer, and Luca, with her second husband, Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti.
Beyond her successful film career, which earned her an Oscar and several other prestigious awards, Hepburn is remembered for her timeless personal style, her gracious dedication to her family and her extensive efforts to help children in need around the world.
