Andrew Tate defends slamming Amanda Holden’s bikini photo

Andrew Tate defends slamming Amanda Holden’s bikini photo

The former professional sportsman has doubled down on his comment in a new interview with Piers Morgan.

Andrew Tate has defended his comments made towards Amanda Holden after she posted snaps of herself to social media.

Back in July, the Heart FM presenter posted a photograph of herself wearing a bikini on social media.

In the picture, Holden, 52, was wearing a black triangle bikini top with tie closures and matching bikini bottoms.

And while many of Britain’s Got Talent judge’s two million X followers praised her for the photographs, Tate, 36, took to the platform to criticise the personality.

Watch the clip of the conversation below:

Underneath Holden’s post, he wrote: “You are a wife and a mother and you’re far past a teenager.

“There is no need for this post.”

Justifying his comment, the former professional kickboxer sat in with Morgan, 58, and told him that the mum-of-two had ‘bigger responsibilities’.

Opening the conversation, the Talk TV host said: “You tweeted a picture of Amanda Holden - very good friend of mine.

"It's a very harmless picture. She is in a bikini on holiday under a rain shower, looking extraordinarily beautiful.”

Tate interrupted the question and said that Holden was standing in a ‘sexual pose’ before claiming that women over 50 should not be interested in posting ‘thirst traps’.

He continued: “You can call me crazy, you can call me misogynistic, but I think once you reach the ripe age of 50, any woman should not be interested in thirst trapping on Instagram.”

The Big Brother series 17 contestant continued: "I think she has bigger responsibilities, I am sure she is a very intelligent lady and she has done amazing things.

"I think she is above it. I wasn't insulting her, I was reminding her that she is actually such a fantastic person, she has done such amazing things in her life, that she is actually above thirst trapping.”

Andrew Tate's comments were questioned by Piers Morgan in a new interview.

He also claimed that he had originally posted the comment to ‘remind Amanda of her worth’.

He said: “Because as a feminist - we are all feminists here, right, we all believe in women empowerment - I am reminding her of her worth.”

Morgan went on to question whether Tate’s stance was a double standard because the personality has previously shared topless pictures of himself on his own social media accounts.

Tate said that ‘boxing with no shirt on’ was different to Holden's posing.

However, Morgan pointed out that he has previously shared images looking ‘moody’ with a cigar.

The interviewer pointed out that Tate has previously posed topless on social media.

He hit back: “You don't just box, I have seen you doing ones where you wander around all moody with your cigar and you are topless and stuff, so fine for you?"

"Are you a fan Piers?" the influencer asked.

In September, the Kiss Me Kate actor discussed Tate’s comments and claimed that her fans won’t be seeing her ‘cover-up’ anytime soon.

Speaking to MailOnline at the time, she said: “I will always listen to myself first because I dress for me – nobody else."

Discussing criticism she has received for her racy snaps in the past, she added that she has ‘reached an age where she no longer worries’ what people think.

The conversation between Morgan and Tate comes after the 36-year-old and his brother Tristan Tate were formally charged in June with rape and human trafficking charges.

The pair have also been charged with forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women and were first arrested at their Bucharest home in December.

In March, the brothers were released on house arrest and have denied all allegations against them.
