Amanda Bynes denies posting viral video that Dan Schneider impregnated her at 13

The actress has since released a statement

Warning: This article contains allegations of sexual harassment which some readers may find distressing.

After a disturbing rumour began circulating online alleging that she'd gotten pregnant at 13 by a disgraced Nickelodeon producer, child star Amanda Bynes has released a fiery statement.

A video detailing the claim was uploaded earlier this week by an unknown source, which made it appear as though the Amanda Show frontwoman was coming forward of her own accord, admitting that Dan Schneider had impregnated her as a child.

An image of the pair in a hot tub together was spliced with several online videos uploaded by Bynes, creating the effect that she'd uploaded it.

It also includes a video of the She's The Man actress's actual boyfriend, cutting him out to include Schneider.

As a reminder, Schneider - famed for producing the likes of Victorious, Drake & Josh, and Sam & Cat - was amongst the adults named recently during conversations about the alleged emotional and physical abuse of children at the channel.

Lori Beth Denberg, a former star of All That, previously came forward accusing the TV boss of acting inappropriately with her as a child.

Though documentary producers honed in on his relationships with child stars during 2022's Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, the 59-year-old subsequently filed a defamation lawsuit, denying any wrongdoing.

He also claimed Denberg had exaggerated their relationship.

Bynes, now 39, was among the former child stars also referenced amidst this speculation - although she never filed any official complaints.

And this week, in response to the viral video, the Hairspray actress shut down the sickening rumour that she'd gotten pregnant by Schneider as a teenager, claiming the creator intended to manufacture 'lies for clickbait'.

In a new statement, she insisted the TikTok in question hadn't been posted by her at all, calling the entire rumour 'BS'.

Bynes' statement comes amidst ongoing concerns for her well-being, after she suddenly stepped down from the spotlight in the 2010s amid a struggle with her mental health.

Amongst other issues - including a drunk-driving arrest and drug addiction - the actress was placed in a conservatorship between August 2013 and March 2022, giving her mother power over her professional endeavours and finances.
