Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian have been called out over their strange decision not to own a microwave.

The celebrity couple were exposed by Travis' own daughter, Alabama, who appeared on a Kick stream recently, giving the social media influencer N3on a tour of her Los Angeles home.

"So, my parents don't believe in microwaves," the 20-year-old explained, pulling back the door to a cupboard to reveal a pink appliance hidden inside.

"The life of a vegan," Alabama added, letting out a disappointed huff.

"Wait, they don't believe in microwaves," N3on is then heard asking, after which Alabama confirms: "Yep. I don't know what the f**k their problem is."

Later in the clip, she reveals the appliance hidden within her pantry is a new addition, implying that Blink-182 star Travis and reality TV star Kourtney haven't yet discovered it.

"I bought a new pink microwave," Alabama declared happily.

Her remark over 'vegans' has sparked some confusion, however. (For reference, Travis has been vegan since 2008, transitioning to a fully plant-based diet following his survival of a plane crash in 2009.)

"As if vegans are depending solely on microwaves," one X user questioned. "What an LA vegan thing to say."

According to Gubba Homestead, some vegans avoid microwaves out of concern for nutrient degradation in plant-based foods, potential cross-contamination in shared spaces, or health concerns regarding uneven heating and the formation of acrylamide in certain foods.

While this might very well be the case for 50-year-old Travis, The Kardashians bombshell Kourtney, 47, has long steered clear of microwaves.

In a vlog shared to her website Poosh in 2017, the mother-of-four wrote: "One kitchen appliance I never use is a microwave.

"If anything needs to be heated up, I prefer to use the oven, stovetop or toaster oven instead."

Kourtney explained at the time that it's a rule she's had in place since welcoming her first son, Mason, now 16, in 2009.

"When I had Mason, I did a lot of health-related research and decided to get rid of my microwave when I read that toxins from plastic containers can be transferred to food when reheated (this applies to BPA-free plastic containers too)," she continued.

"It only takes a few more minutes, and the toaster oven heats food evenly (whereas microwaves can sometimes heat food unevenly, so some parts are scorching hot and others are cold, which is obviously a concern for babies and children).

"Also, I’ve heard that microwaves can leach nutrients from food and use radiation to heat food."

Kourtney concluded: "I’m not sure how accurate this is, but when it comes to my family, I play it safe."
