Not for the first time, Kim Kardashian has come under fire for promoting what critics have described as 'unrealistic' standards of beauty.
Taking to social media last night (23 July), the reality TV star put on a rather risqué display with an all-black vintage couture Thierry Mugler number - which, let's just say, left little to the imagination.
The outfit consisted of a full mesh bodysuit, decorated with intricate lines and cut-outs to give the impression of a corset.
The bottom of the garment was also attached to a pair of long-length stockings, creating the effect that the 44-year-old was wearing a set of suspenders on her lower-half.

Despite the back of the outfit revealing her entire backside, however, the eyes of millions of viewers were apparently drawn to Kim's midriff, with the bodysuit having been tightened to the extent that her waist appeared only a matter of inches wide.

The look seemed to mirror a similar number from the mother-of-four's wardrobe, which also went viral online last year.
For the 2024 Met Gala, Kim donned an extreme waist-cinching custom Margiela by John Galliano strapless silver corset, which she'd paired with a floor-length silver leaf mesh net skirt and a grey shrug-style cardigan.

It was later revealed that the garment actually constricted the star's waist to a mere 19 inches.
Naturally, the look sparked mass backlash at the time, with a number of critics accusing Kim of sporting an unhealthy appearance in the name of fashion. So much so, that an actual certified doctor issued a vital warning to fans against recreating the star's get-up, so as not to put their health at risk by crushing their organs - something corsets have been notorious for for centuries.
By the looks of things, however, Kim has refused to take the advice on board, and following her latest online upload, she was met with similar criticism.

As well as referencing the risks that the outfit poses to her wellbeing, a number of the star's followers accused her of setting an unrealistic example to her younger fans.
One asked her: "What if you were real for once?"
"Yeah this is not the one," another agreed with the controversial look.
A third noted: "I swear it looks like she’s in pain with that on!!"

"I’m sorry but this is an unrealistic beauty standard," a fourth hit out.
"How are those organs holding up?" another asked.
"Just setting up unrealistic expectations for women around the globe," another continued. "You look extremely uncomfortable girlie."

Tyla contacted Kim's representatives for comment.
In contrast, the star's little sister Kylie Jenner was recently praised by fans for being an 'open book' and not kidding her followers when it came to the details of her previous breast augmentation surgery
After a TikToker asked the 27-year-old earlier this year for details on her procedure, Jenner replied: "445 cc, moderate profile, half under the muscle!!!!! silicone!!! garth fisher!!! hope this helps lol."
The mother-of-two was subsequently applauded for the move, being branded things like 'refreshing', 'transparent', 'one of the girls' and 'so real' for attempting to disillusion her fans into thinking her breasts were natural.
