David Haye has publicly responded to Adam Thomas following the Waterloo Road actor's 'disturbing voice note claims'.
The British former professional boxer, 45, has been facing bullying claims since his series of I'm A Celebrity in the South African jungle with Adam aired on ITV.
Filmed eight months ago, the reality TV series brought together all-stars for a celebrity-filled camp, including Gemma Collins, Mo Farah, and Sinnita.
However, Adam found himself embroiled in feuds with both footballer Jimmy Bullard and David, which came to a head in the heated live final last Friday (24 April).
The soap star was crowned 'King of the Jungle,' but viewers were left stunned by the row that erupted onscreen between the campmates, with even hosts Ant and Dec getting involved.
Following the explosive live final, Adam recorded an episode of his podcast At Home With The Thomas Bro’s on Wednesday (29 April), with his brothers Scott and Ryan, where he detailed his jungle experience.
David Haye has hit back at Adam Thomas with a brutal video message (Instagram/davidhaye) Adam said, “I’ll just be outright and say it how it is now. What happened to me in camp is bullying. That is the matter of fact about it. It was bullying.
"I don’t think it’s fair to people who are going through what I went through in the real world to pass it off as banter because it’s not. The reason why I didn’t speak up for myself when I should have done is because when I was in camp, everyone was passing it off as banter."
He revealed: "The most disturbing bit for me was where I look at David and even after the show, he sent me a voice note and was like, ‘Oh mate, what a great show that was. I’m so happy you won. Congratulations.’”
“I just sent him a message back saying, ‘This is where I draw the line now. I hope you find happiness bro. I’m done now.’ That live show, I just felt like I’d been exploited. I felt like I was in the midst of it all and it wasn’t even about me.”
David has since responded with a lengthy, brutal video message on Instagram.
He said: "So I've just taken the time to listen to Adam Thomas' podcast - him and his brothers Ryan and Scott. Very interesting.
"Very, very interesting to see he's had a few days to sit down, mull it over, process everything that's happened. Him winning I'm A Celebrity and how he processed it, it was enlightening.
"Dishing out banter to me and then losing the banter game, giving it back to him, and he starts crying and moaning, and somehow he's spun it so he's still the victim."
Adam accused David of 'bullying' him in the jungle (At Home With The Thomas Bro’s) David added, "He won. I don't think he's been around guys, proper guys, who actually have a bit of back and forth, you kind of build your resilience, your mental resilience to jibes.
"I've had plenty of it in my time. Whenever I lose, whenever I get something wrong, I always get my mates giving me s*** for it. That's just what we do. It's what real guys do."
He described the 'bullying' as a 'sprinkling of primary school banter' and argued that Adam 'dished out' more banter than he got.
The boxer savagely continued: "You're nearly 40 years old and you're moaning that you won a TV competition - 'it's the worst thing in my whole life, it's the worst thing I've ever had to do, I didn't even want to be there' - what are you talking about? You've got £100,000 to give to a charity of your choice, you've made more money a day than most people earn in a year.
"For three weeks straight, you're going to get loads of endorsements, everyone loves you, ITV are going to give you your own show, things are looking positive, good vibes."
He went on to angrily quip: "Maybe your weak-a*** fan base just want the soft marshmallow energy, so just keep giving it to them. There's a lot of stuff that is going to come to light that hasn't come to light, that kind of contradicts his story just a little bit that I'm looking forward to seeing the light of day."
