We've all been utterly addicted to Married At First Sight Australia, with its catfights, drama and endless shocking moments which have kept us talking throughout lockdown.

And now, MAFS is coming to UK shores - and you can already apply for a new series...

Married At First Sight has already aired for five series here in Blighty, however, its format is distinctly different to the Australian version we are obsessed with.

A more low-key affair, the couples are kept separate and we follow their journey from when they first meet at the aisle, to their honeymoon, to when they first in together, and whether they choose to remain married - or divorce and go their separate ways.

However, the sixth season of Married At First Sight UK will see the British programme lean towards the Australian format, with couples taking part no longer having legally binding marriage but rather a commitment ceremony.

Moving from Channel 4 to E4, the new UK series will be undergoing a huge makeover for 2021. With over 20 episodes, the series will follow the couples as they meet for the very first time at the altar and will have a "bigger, more explosive take on the format."

A statement by E4 explained: "Following the Australian format, rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.

"After the ceremony and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other AND their fellow couples.

"Relationships will be put under the microscope, by fellow brides and grooms at weekly dinner parties - as well as by the experts, at recurring commitment ceremonies, where couples choose whether they want to stay in or leave the process.

"All this and more will build to a dramatic series finale: glossy, high-stakes vow renewals, in which each couple must decide if they will recommit to their partner or go their separate ways."

Lee McMurray, Commissioning Editor, Factual Entertainment, said: "I'm thrilled to be refreshing one of the portfolio's most popular brands for E4, bringing extra scale and ambition to what is already one of the most audacious and provocative experiments on television, and delivering what we hope will be the most exciting series yet."

If you're single and looking to meet your right match, then you can apply for the new series here.

As you can expect, the application process is thorough, and you'll have to upload a headshot and record a video as part of the process.

But be quick - applications are closing soon, with casting directors now posting it's your final call to be a part of the new series.

Married At First Sight UK will air on E4 later on in the year.
