Riverdale's female-led spin-off Katy Keene is officially coming to BBC iPlayer this month.

The first (and sadly only) season of the show, based on the Archie Comics character, premiered in the US earlier this year, but the UK have had to be wait patiently for their turn to watch it.

Finally, the BBC has announced all 13 episodes will be landing on iPlayer on 25th July.

Unfortunately, the show - starring Pretty Little Liar's Lucy Hale - will be only enjoying one season after its cancellation by its US network The CW was announced earlier this month.

In an emotional video about the show being cut short, Lucy said: "I've kind of struggled all day with what I wanted to say about this, or if I shouldn't say anything. Nothing felt right.

"I didn't want to just post a picture or a caption because nothing would do justice to how I feel about Katy Keene, or how I feel about the people involved with it."

Lucy added she's "a little confused" about the show's cancellation, continuing: "I do believe it's timeless. But sometimes things just don't work out and maybe it's just not the right time for it..."

The show is a spin-off from hit Netflix series Riverdale and is set five years after the events of the fourth series.

It follows titular character Katy Keene (Hale), an aspiring fashion designer, and a host of other aspiring artists and models trying to make it in New York.

Ashleigh Murray reprises her role as Josie McCoy from Riverdale, while it also stars Camille Hyde, Jonny Beauchamp, Julia Chan, Lucien Laviscount, Zane Holtz, and Katherine LaNasa.

Despite it only getting one series, we're still buzzing to watch this!
