A soon-to-air Game of Thrones two-hour documentary will show fans all the behind-the-scenes production details, including Emilia Clarke filming her last ever shot as Daenerys Targaryen in the beloved show.

Next week's instalment of the HBO fantasy drama will bring the series to an end after a total of eight seasons, and it is all beginning to feel too real for fans that Game of Thrones will be no more.

However, there's more to keep fans going as Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will premiere a week after the finale of the conclusion on Sky Atlantic, giving us one more fix of Daenerys, Jon Snow, Sansa, Ayra and the rest of the cast in a way we have never seen before.

The documentary also gives fans an insight into what really goes into the creation of one of the best - and most popular - shows to date.

In a one-minute long trailer shared by HBO for The Last Watch, the production teams can be seen slogging out night shifts to complete the series, and the huge cast read through the scripts for the eighth season as they all sit around a table in another emotional scene.

And actress Sophie Turner tears up while wearing her full costume for Sansa Stark.

The trailer holds no spoilers for the finale, but Emilia can be seen stepping off set in full costume for her last scene ever as Daenerys.

"That was Emilia's last shot on Game of Thrones," says a member of the production team as she hugs them, while her co-stars and those filming applaud her and wipe away tears.

Emilia pre-warned fans about her character's final moments on the show, saying it "f*cked me up" during an interview with Vanity Fair.

Hopefully this documentary will shed more light on the questions we'll no-doubt have after the ending of Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch will air on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Sunday, 26th May at 9pm.

The final episode of Game of Thrones season eight will air on Sky Atlantic next Monday 20th May, also at 9pm.
