Roman Kemp Says Judge Rinder Set Him Up With Love Island's Antigoni

Love Island's Antigoni could very nearly have never graced our screens and instead, could have been loved up already with Capital FM's Roman Kemp, as the pair recently revealed they were 'matchmaked' by a celebrity friend in common.

The pair discussed their 'near romance' in a recent segment and Roman revealed their pal, Judge Rinder, attempted to play Cupid.

Speaking on his radio show, Roman said: "This is a true story, right. About a year ago, I'm coming out of Capital and I'm walking down the stairs. And then I hear 'Roman, Roman, Roman.' I look over, it's Judge Rinder.

"Firstly he goes, 'Are you single?' and I was like, 'Yeah'.

"He's pulling up Antigoni's Instagram. 'Look at her, marriage! Definitely. Lovely family, lovely girl. She's super talented, super good looking. Check this out. What about it? What about it?'"

Rather than be shocked by Judge Rinder's antics, Antigoni laughed it off promising that the suggestion never came from her.

She explained: "I had no idea he was going to do that, by the way. He's like my honorary godfather."

Despite the matchmaking efforts, Roman revealed he never followed up on Judge Rinder's suggestion as he wanted to leave it up to fate instead. He added: "I thought at the end of the day, if it will be, it will be and it doesn't need to be with Rob Rinder."

The discussion came after Antigoni revealed she had seen some interest from celebrities and famous face since she left the ITV villa. Whilst some of the would be suitors are blue tick verified, she refused to reveal names.

Antigoni didn't manage to find love whilst in the Love Island villa, although her previous relationships did stem from the show.

Before she appeared on our screens, it's been revealed that 26-year-old Antigoni used to date Jack Fowler who appeared on the 2018 edition of Love Island.

Mail Online reports that Antigoni dated the 26-year-old 'for a few months' but their relationship 'fizzled out'.

The singer had been single for 'a year and a half' before entering the villa, and has still yet to confirm if any romance has occurred since exiting the ITV show.
