One Direction Fans Lose It As Liam Payne Does ’Spot On’ Johnny Depp Impression

One Direction fans are seriously impressed after hearing Liam Payne's 'spot on' impersonation of Johnny Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow in a recent interview.

After baffling people with his unexplained accent change on the Oscars red carpet earlier this year, the singer revealed that he's got quite a knack for changing voices.

Liam, 28, had been speaking on YouTuber Logan Paul's podcast Impaulsive when he revealed his hidden skill.

He told Logan and his co-hosts Mike Majlak and George Janko that he had been dressed up as Jack Sparrow for a performance at the London Dungeons when he realised he could do a perfect impression of the Pirates Of The Caribbean character.

After being blown away by Liam's impression, Mike Majlak joked: "Amber Heard is shivering. Amber Heard is sh***ing her pants", referring to Depp's ex-wife.

Keeping up his Captain Jack impersonation, Liam replied: "I've never heard or seen of Amber Heard, myself."

It comes as both Depp and Heard await the verdict on their high profile defamation trial, after sitting through seven long weeks of testimony in court.

The actor is suing Heard for $50 million (£39.7 million), over an article she wrote in the Washington Post in 2018 in which she described herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse".

After watching Liam's impression on the podcast, fans took to Twitter to unpack what they had seen.

"Oh but that impression of Captain Jack Sparrow Liam did was brilliant I can’t lie," tweeted one fan.

"Ok Liam’s Jack Sparrow impression is actually really good lol" wrote a second.

"Everyone's talking about liam payne dissing the boys, when what we should be talking about is that f**king amazing jack sparrow impression" raved a third.

Elsewhere in the interview, Liam lost One Direction fans when he revealed his 'dislike' for his former bandmate Zayn Malik.

"Before we get too deep into this, there's many reasons why I dislike Zayn and there's many reasons why I'll always, always be on his side."

He continued: "My parents are overly supportive to the point where it’s annoying at times and they don’t even mind me saying that. And Zayn had a different upbringing in that sense."

Zayn left One Direction in March 2015 to spend some private time out of the spotlight before embarking on a solo career.

Less than a year later, the remaining four band members confirmed that One Direction would be going on an indefinite hiatus.
