Olly Murs' fiancée defends his new song after fans call lyrics 'cruel and disgusting'

Olly Murs' fiancée has hit back at criticism over his recent song 'I Hate You When You're Drunk' after some people branded the lyrics 'cruel' and 'disgusting'.
As the title implies the song lyrics are all about getting fed up with the behaviour of your boozed up beloved, and there's been some backlash to it all.
Some have called for the song to be taken off the air over the message they believe lies within the lyrics behind the catchy music.

The song stars with: "Oh you're slurring all your words / There's makeup on your shirt / You're dancing on the tables can't you see / That you look like a mess and you're singing Whitney whoa / Oh I hate you, hate you, I hate you, hate you when you're drunk."
In the second verse, the 38-year-old sings: "Oh you got them drunken eyes / Should we call it a night / Cos you've been telling stories 4/5 times / Yeah I've heard it before and my ears are bleeding whoa."
The chorus of the song sticks close to the theme: "Because you wanna buy champagne / And you wanna throw the shots back / And now you're taking photographs / Why am I the only one that don’t laugh / Oh I hate you, hate you, I hate you, hate you when you're drunk / So quit acting like a fool cos I hate you when you're drunk."
The lyrics to 'I Hate You When You're Drunk' got a major backlash as people branded them 'so horrible' and begged radio stations to stop playing the 'abhorrent' song.
One of those who slated the song was DJ Shaun Keaveny, who wrote on Twitter that the song made Murs sound like a 'sad, controlling boyfriend' and wondered if Murs' partner would put out a song titled 'I Hate You When You Sing'.
Taking to Instagram, Murs' fiancée Amelia Tank posted the tweet from the DJ and wrote out her own response defending Murs and the lyrics in the song, saying it was 'one of my favourites'.
She wrote: "Many thanks for your concern here however I can confirm that I in face love my *NON* controlling *FIANCE* even more when he sings and this latest single is actually one of my favourites from the album.
"I wouldn't lose any sleep over it bbz because I'm deffo not. #itsjustabitoffun. Lots of love and have a magical evening."
