Miley Cyrus once admitted she couldn't look at the sky after claiming she was 'chased by aliens' in a truly terrifying encounter.

From having her plane struck by lightning to being followed by UFOs on a casual drive, the 29-year-old singer certainly doesn't have a lot of luck when it comes to the big blue sky.

Speaking to Interview magazine about the bizarre extra-terrestrial encounter, Cyrus spoke with fashion designer Rick Owens and talk soon turned to the topic of Area 51.

At one point, Rick said that while he doesn't really believe in aliens, 'it seems a little arrogant to assume there’s nobody else but us'.

The Hannah Montana star agreed before admitting that she herself 'had an experience.'

"I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO," she said.

"I’m pretty sure about what I saw, but I’d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax.

"But the best way to describe it is a flying snowplow. It had this big plow in the front of it and was glowing yellow.

"I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too.

"There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real."

The experience really got to Cyrus, so much so that she 'couldn't really look at the sky the same' because she feared 'they might come back.'

To be fair, it'd be enough to scare us from stargazing for a while.

The singer added "I was shaken for, like, five days. It f***ed me up."

However, it's important to note that Cyrus didn't feel threatened by the UFO, adding: "I didn't feel threatened at all, actually," she said.

"But I did see a being sitting in the front of the flying object.

"It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that's what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn't quite wrap my head around."

To be honest, we'd love to see Cyrus write a song about seeing a UFO. Maybe it should be called 'Space Party in the USA'?
