Miley Cyrus Shares Terrifying Moment Her Plane Was Struck By Lightning

Miley Cyrus has given fans an update after her plane was struck by lightning.

Miley Cyrus has shared footage showing the moment her plane was struck by lightning.

The pop star shared the frightening video on Instagram as she reassured fans she is safe, along with the other passengers, once the plane made an emergency landing.

The 29-year-old wrote: "To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción. Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting.

"My crew, band, friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU."

Miley also included a picture of the damage to the plane.

The 'Angels Like You' singer is currently on tour in South America and recently performed in Bogotá, Colombia for thousands of delighted fans.

She also performed at the Lollapalooza festival in Argentina and Chile.

Miley was forced to pull out of a headlining slot at the Asunciónico festival in Paraguay's capital city, Asunción following the plane incident.

The city experienced harsh weather conditions on Tuesday, with flooding and rainfall reported in the area.

Miley's followers sent her well-wishes. after watching the frightening footage. "WE LOVE YOU MILEY IM SO HAPPY THAT EVERYONE IS OKAY," one fan wrote.

After Miley apologised for not being able to fly to Paraguay, a fan said: "I'm glad everyone is safe, don't worry mc we understand, love you so much."

While another follower shared: "So glad you are all ok love!!"

We're so relieved Miley and her team are safe!
