Love Island’s Adam Collard attacked by group of men on night out with Paige Thorne

Love Island’s Adam Collard attacked by group of men on night out with Paige Thorne

The Love Island couple were enjoying a night out in Newcastle when Adam was attacked.

Love Island's Adam Collard was attacked by a group of men as he enjoyed a night out with his reality star girlfriend Paige Thorne.

The personal trainer, 26, was recognised the men at the Market Shaker bar in Newcastle city centre as he had a drink with Paige, 24, and his friends.

They began to attack him physically and things escalated to the point where they attempted to rip his shirt off, prompting the star to defend himself.

One of Adam's friends also intervened before security were able to deescalate the situation.

As reported by The Sun, an onlooker said of the altercation: "It happened shortly after midnight. Adam and Paige were just on a night, it wasn't an official appearance or anything.

"Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn't happy at all which was understandable.

"Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off. It's no surprise he wanted to defend himself and was obviously looking out for Paige as well.

"They were just out a drink together with friends and they didn't need that hassle. The bouncers came over and it finally calmed down and Adam and Paige left after that."

A spokesperson for the reality star said of the altercation: "Adam was trying to enjoy a quiet night in his hometown with friends when a large group of men began aggressively harassing them.

"Despite several attempts to diffuse the situation, the men continued to become more aggressive and started physically attacking Adam.

"Understandably, Adam and his friends were extremely shaken up by the situation and felt it was best to leave and were safely escorted by the security team outside. No further action has been taken."

The incident comes after the couple recently denied split rumours, and Paige returned to work as a paramedic and Adam went back to his personal training business.

This year's Love Island was Adam's second stint on the reality show, having first appeared back in 2018 when he acquired a reputation for going from woman to woman.

Adam has hinted that he wants to marry Paige.

However, in 2022, he only really had eyes for Paige and some fans even complained that he wasn't 'Collarding' enough for their liking.

The pair went official shortly after leaving the villa, and despite knowing each other for around two months, Adam has already hinted that he wants to marry Paige.

He shared a picture of Paige getting along with his friend that he captioned: "The OG Besty & the wife is it not."

Tyla has reached out to Adam's representatives for comment.
