Khloe Kardashian reveals huge scar after having 'deadly' skin cancer removed

Khloe Kardashian reveals huge scar after having 'deadly' skin cancer removed

Khloe had to get a 'deadly' melanoma removed and opened up about the process in the latest season of The Kardashians

Khloe Kardashian has shown off the scar she was left with after doctors discovered a 'deadly' melanoma on her face.

In the trailer for season three of The Kardashians, fans got a glimpse into Khloe's skin cancer health scare that resulted in surgery and stitches.

In the trailer, momager Kris Jenner tells cameras that Khloe's melanoma 'is very concerning'.

Khloe's best pal Malika Haqq is then seen telling Khloe, 'I don't think I've seen you this low', with half-sister and model Kendall Jenner worrying that Khloe 'doesn't sleep' and 'has lost a lot of weight'.

Khloe then tells cameras: "The melanoma is deadly. This is way more serious than I anticipated it to be."

While most clips from the trailer show Khloe before the surgery, a few see her recovering with a large bandage across her face.

For a brief moment, the 4cm scar that was left on her face is shown - and it looks painful.

Khloe revealed back in October 2022 that doctors had found a tumour on her face.

Sharing some photos of herself with bandages on her cheek, she explained to fans at the time: "I have seen numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face, with some of you wondering why I've been wearing one for the past few weeks.

"After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realising it was not budging."

She added that she got checked out by two different dermatologists, who both said that 'what they were seeing was incredibly rare for someone my age'.

After a biopsy determined that the tumour was dangerous, Khloe was told she had to undergo an 'immediate operation to remove a tumour from my face.'

She wrote: "I called none other than Dr Garth Fischer, a dear friend of my family's and one of the best surgeons in Beverly Hills who I knew would take incredible care of my face.

"I'm grateful to share that Dr Fischer was able to get everything - all my margins appear clear and now we are onto the healing process.

"So, here we are... you'll continue to see my bandages and when I'm allowed, you'll probably see a scar (and an indention in my cheek from the tumour being removed), but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I'm making these face bandages look."

Khloe explained that she had always been hyper-aware of unusual lumps and bumps ever since doctors found a melanoma on her back when she was 19.

"I am someone who wears sunscreen every single day religiously, so no one is exempt from these things," she noted.

The reality star also added that she had decided to share the story on her platform so she could 'remind everyone to get checked, and frequently.'
